The week started out with bright brilliant sunshine!! We are thrilled after a very rainy dreary week last week!!
This is "That Week"!! You know the one where we have two days of track and field, we have loads of yard work, (it grows so fast this time of year!! Shopping, food prep and packing up for our annual Memorial Day Weekend with friends!!
I don't want to skip sharing Dave and I's twentieth anniversary getaway on here! We enjoyed four quiet days on Block Island!
It was Mothers Day... We went to church and listened to many share stories about their mom! We left early because we wanted to have lunch with the kids before we left for the small airport we were flying out of at two o'clock! This was a photo taken at church on Mothers Day morning... (-Justin)
I still miss having Justin at church with us but he and Eva attend at Honey Brook church right now and I know that's a great church to and we are thankful for the way they are growing in every way and we know where they attend church is not as important as a relationship with Jesus! BUT... We still miss him...:)
After lunch on Mothers Day we cleaned up and Dave and I headed to the airport leaving the kids in charge of themselves...:)

We were all over this island while we visited!!
It took us about an hour to fly to Block Island from our local airport. It was a bit overcast but the sun did show up to bless us and we had a few perfect days of sunshine!! We rented a motor scooter and Dave and I both caught a red face! We are not sure if it was wind burn or sun burn but either way we got a good dose of it!...:)
The quiet rest!!! It was super refreshing!!!
We walked and hiked for miles upon miles!! It was so very beautiful!! The trails went through some woods and we would come upon the bluff where the water and scenery was breathtaking!! One day we laid to rest and both fell asleep up above the bluff in the sun!! It just so happened that there was also no phone service right there!!... Yay!! (Dave's phone is almost constantly making some kind of noise!) He don't know but he really dose need this quiet sometimes!!

We stayed at a little Airbnb and we loved everything about it! Every morning we got breakfast to our door in a basket! It was like opening a fun gift each morning! The coffee was in a French press and it was always so good!!
We had a small table in our room then after we'd move outdoors housekeeping came in and cleaned up our room for the day!
We ate at many great places but this pizza at the Spring House was a favorite! (Next to all the great tasting clam chowder soup!)
Yes business travels everywhere with us!... Since Dave does what he does he really needs to stay near his technology...:) I took books and did a personality DISC profile on myself online the one day. Time never went slow and the phone calls he made while sitting on the bluff were all part of the trip. I don't know if I will ever appreciate all the one sided conversations I now hear but it really does bother me less and less and I love to see Dave do what he loves to do and that is connecting with people!
We get real comfort with this aircraft and its so fast not to have to check bags or any of the long line airport stuff! We are at the airport in ten minutes and we only had a few minutes to our place on the Block Island side of it... BUT... This thing bumps more then a large aircraft. The overcast clouds have us in a fog much of the time and if I'm not careful I can get real anxiety up there! I'm always so happy to be on the ground! I do it to get places fast because seriously who can beat that but as soon as we bump or something beeps I'm all uptight.
This guy... He could do this all day long and not even flinch! Oh how good he is for me!!
The kids.... They missed us and we thought it funny!! It was four school days and Jordan did three lunches and Eva did two! It was piles of laundry for them to deal with and food and all that goes along with keeping house! Mark Andrew and Cynthia did spend a few nights here to keep them company which was a blessing but by the time we got home I could tell they were sighing with relief...:) They had the house looking great and I know they worked hard to get it in that order!
It was the first we left the kids alone overnight when Dave and I went away and they did great!! They are hoping we won't make a habit of it!...:)

Time is up... I have more to share but if I don't keep these [posts short I won't get here at all!
