Quarantine during COVID-19...

So we have Quarantine days!! What does this really look like anyway? Probably different for each household!

We have never had days like these before!

We have cancelled every event and appointment in the near feature. Dave had an event planned for these next few nights that got cancelled. His schedule is more open. (We are trying to come up with a creative way to do a date night because that would be fun again!)

We have been thankful that I do haircuts around here...:)

We have become very familar with Zoom! It is so very nice that the kids get to do these with school teachers and classmates!

We even did a sisters day date on Zoom...:) It wasn't the same but it worked.

Justin's house always gives something to do! The house came together faster then it might have because it seemed to be a smaller job for the crews so they were able to just go on with the work...

Brothers here are installing the tile backsplash in the kitchen... This don't look like social distancing to me...:) These two younger boys will miss Justin so much when he moves out of our home!! They have so much fun together!

I'm saving quotes because its what I do pretty much always but some of them these days are making me laugh!... This is about the truth with these expressions...:) lol

The Word... It is just so comforting, healing and whatever we need it to be at any given moment! It might vary from hour to hour or even minute to minute! Thankful for God and for his WORD!

We as individuals and us as a nation will not come out of this the same thats for sure...

I'm an introvert so I just have to share... :)

I actually get a satisfying feeling deleting events from my calandar. I do not ever like to be to busy. I like quiet. I like time alone. Slow is always good in my opinion. I have no problem being at home day after day just keeping up with the fun of the mundane...:) I find my life would be really boring if I wouldn't have those extoverts right here in my life to keep it hopping! These days though it has been comical watching these extroverts here try to be okay with the life of an introvert...:)

This is where we have been doing church the past month... Wrapped in blankets on the couch each Sunday morning. This last Sunday we had our own communion time following along with our service online...

This is how we do spelling practice...

This is Jenika's art piece...

These morning walks/runs have always been so great but I think they are even more so during these days! I love to start my days off outdoors! I still meet Dave at his office at 8:00am as usual for these runs.

Things we do to keep up the immunity up around here... Breakfast... Beef liver and onions with an egg on top of greens with avacodo. This is my breakfast. (no my family will not try my beef liver yet...:})

We take supplements year round so this is nothing new but I have been even more thankful for them!

Always something going on in the kitchen.

Always.

Its okay.

I have all these photos in large print for a reason... By looking here I will remember every detail of these quarintine days!...:)

I. Will. Remember.

Getting outside has been great!! The garden is planted and the flowers are getting planted. It is always a fun time of year to watch things wake up but this year it has been great to actually take more time to just soak it all in...

Aquire games happen but mostly on weekends now because this crew has office jobs during the day.

This verse has more meaning when the whole world is dealing with a sickness at the same time. These times are unusual and it has been interesting to watch it all play out thus far!

More kitchen time for Jenika! She wants to bake something everyday.

I let her everyday but Monday and cleaning day...:)

She did start a job at the office for her dad as receptionist this week!! She loves it! She loves to interact with people even if it is just on the phone for now so I can see this being her kind of job!...:)

Slow is good. We can learn a lot from these quarintine days!

Easter weekend happened. The death and resurrection of Jesus is something we always reflect on during this time. It has so much meaning and we are so THANKFUL for this plan of salvation that we have all been gifted! Ask and you shall receive! Seek and you will find!! Praise the Lord!

More running. Somedays I let my phone in the car. Other days I listen to worship music, my bible or a podcast. Somedays I take pictures but most days I don't. We see eagles and other critters down here on this peaceful road. Dave likes when I bring Nub along out to run with him! They run together a lot at home around the property and now he wants her to run with him down here to...:)

My dad painted my master bathroom yesterday! I love how it turned out! I let him do his thing only going up to give him lunch... I realized later I did not take a picture while he was working. Sad cause I usually do like to add that in on here... He did a great job! Thanks dad!! You are the best!!
(the before pictures show a dark brown color on the walls) It all got a good cleaning and it feels great!!

Justin's house! It is looking so cute up there!!

Driveway got put in. Many trees got cut down and stumps got grinded away!

Love this front porch with a roof so very much!!

Flooring got done this week to! "Freedom Flooring" did a great job!

Kitchen is bright and so fun looking...

The house has been keeping Justin and Jordan both busy.

Jordan does school, does odd jobs for Justin pretty much everyday. Works for Stoltzfus or Horizon some on most days to!

Justin is busy in the  Horizon office. He is enjoying his postition there and he learns more and more everyday!

Here we are with more Zoom classroom... Javon meets a few teachers a few days a week. He is doing great keeping up with everything and he is the easiest for me to help...:) I love our reading time everyday and we make games out of spelling practice!

Office room has become a school room. It is so nice to be able to just keep them set up in here!

Sigh...:) More kitchen time! This was actually just this evening. She made a coffee cake and the whole house smells amazing!

So. Much. Cleanup. I will never forget how the blender is either running or needs cleaned! I will remember how each time I step away from the kitchen and come back it somehow got used again!

Do we snack more or is it just because we do it always here now?

I still do meals on Mondays after grocery shopping (I wore a mask this week!) and this is even more handy these days!

I do plenty of prepping and I make spaghetti and meatballs and stuff I know the Little's will enjoy. They pull these dishes from the fridge and just heat them up. It makes cleanup easy and there is always food to grab and go.

I do Mondays in the kitchen alone and then Jen moves in the rest of the week off and on to create her yummy stuff...:)

It works great to chop, cook and create on Mondays for the whole week then Dave often gets the groceries for the weekends and we plan our weekend foods together. We are eating every meal every day here these days! It is different but we have embraced it and I actually love it most of the time.

This was a weekend day when I was about to tackle the kitchen... I just had to record...:) These are the days of quartintine...:)

The times for quiet rest are here. The time to be still are now. The time to pray for our Nation, President and Leaders is now more then ever! The time to be thankful is always. The ways we can reach out even during this time are still exsistant. (I love the creative ways people are loving on each other during this time!)

Dave and I are working around the outside of the house more these days. We are doing some work with a tractor and I'm taking more time to make my garden more fun...:) Tomorrow a landscaper comes to plant and replace some things around the house. I'll post some before and after pictures.

We are still planning and praying for a great wedding day here in September of 2020!

We had a friend that we got to know in Belize (Britney) that got married during quarintine! We were invited but us along with the rest of the guests did not get to witness this in person! They got married anyway with parents and photographer! They do hope to do something else later down the road including a honeymoon but Britney and Chris say they had a perfect wedding day!

Good Night from the Zook home during these "Quarintine Days" of "Covid-19"!

These are the days we will want to remember so lets make them count!
