Summer is always the season that seems to move faster then all other seasons here in Lancaster County!
School starts in a few weeks. We start early. Mid-August. Its okay because Jenika and Javon both look forward to the return of school. Last year was by far the best year for them both and we are praying for another great year!
I have not missed months of posting on here since I started the blog. June is my favorite month and I cannot believe I didn't get on here once to record the beauty of June in Lancaster County!
Flowers. Gardening. Birds. Being outdoors 90% of the time is still some of my summer favorites!
Health and Wellness are important to me.
It has been a over a year now since I started the "Root Cause Protocol". The journey seems long some days but very worth the patience that goes with this kind of healing journey. I know my body is building back up and I'm so grateful for every good day!!
A quick up-date just to get it all on here once again...:)
Jenika...
She loves her Job at Rita's! She has long shifts and her feet get tired but it has been great for her! She was working the last three days and she was ready for a break...:)
She loves her friends and many weeks we have girls here for sleepovers and the girl giggles are so fun..:)
She is a late owl! She rarely settles in before midnight. She still gets up nicely in the morning when I wake her so I have come to the conclusion it takes very little sleep for this girl!
She sold Tulsa and her colt Oakly in June. It was time someone spends more time with the colt and Jenika had not been spending enough time with them. She loves horses but her friends are not into it so she decided to give up the horse hobby for now. (I think she was tired of paying for all the food...:))
She got to ride on a private jet with her dad and uncles last week to look at some property in Tennessee. She thought it was fun...:)
Javon....
He just did a trip with his dad this past week. To Park City Utah. He loved it!
He goes out to do his Steel Plate Job at the shop at least three days a week. On the hot days I often get him earlier so he's not out there all day. He goes out with me in the morning when I meet Dave for our run.
He is looking forward to the start of school but nervous about changing over to the the Upper Campus.
He has sleepovers with cousins almost weekly and I think he is super blessed to have cousins so close and Bryant right next door! Bryant and Javon connect so well and its so fun to watch them together on the property here! They swim and hunt and all the others things boys do...:)
Jordan....
He is thriving.
He loves his friends and social life so much!
He likes concerts...:) He got one in before Covid hit and he was dreaming of when he can do it again! He is doing two in a weeks time now that things have opened back up again! He did not like the COVID restrictions at all! It was a bummer for him more then the rest of us because his age and stage had him going places and doing all the teenage things! He never did to well with the mask thing either.
He and his friends have a favorite place to gather and eat! "Agape Cafe and Grill" see a lot of Jordan and his friends! His friends are so fun and we are so thankful that we get to see them often!
Jordan has been healthy. He has an in person CHOP appointment coming up next week. His last few appointments were done by Zoom. This will require bloodwork to see where his antibody levels are. We are still doing weekly infusion here at home. I'm praying for clarity on a program that might be another option for Jordan.
He has lost so much weight since Spring! From a distance I still have to look twice sometimes...:) I think he looks so great! We are so proud of him for taking control of his health where he can!
He is hauling sheds daily. Big loads. He stays more local which is nice but he takes some big loads on the road! Learning the ropes of shed hauling and moving have not always come easy for him but he has come such a long way and we are so proud of him!
Justin....
He is thriving.
His girl. He spends every minute he can with her! He loves being with her!
Baseball. He has a knee injury right now so he watches from the sidelines but he will be back at it again soon. He is not as into ball as he once was but he is still really good at it!
He golf sometimes. I think its just because his closest friends do it and he don't want to miss out...:)
His house. Short Term Rental is going so well for him! The house is adorable and guests seem to love it! I do some laundry and last minute check in details there but mostly the rest he subs out.
Horizon Structures is his joy. He loves being a part of this business and he really enjoys his employees a lot! They are some of his closest friends!
Dave has picked his travels back up.
We did a trip to Florida together last week. Orlando for an ADF Conference. It was a WONDERFUL getaway!
We are anticipating another annual Investor Party here in August.
I'm keeping this short for tonight... I will do a photo dump on here tomorrow if all goes well...:) I have been recording things and taking pictures but just have not been getting on here with it all.
We are so BLESSED!
