Justin's Healing... Spring has SPRUNG!!! FINALLY!!

Justin's stitches came out today!... It was a chore for our family Doctor to get out all those tiny little stitches! He finally went to another room to get a magnifing glass! Some of them were even buried under the scabs that were healing over and Justin had to have a break because he was getting dizzy and lightheaded as Doc worked!...

Justin is on the mend but since he don't remember anything he doesn't seem to realize the extent of his injury! He pushed all weekend and Dave and I had a battle on our hands trying to keep him from over doing it!!

He was out late Friday night after the Bar-b-q here.

He was up early Saturday morning... Off to Manheim where his ball team was playing in a tournament. He said "I won't play Mom!" He took a comfortable chair, a blanket and a pillow. I hoped that he would rest well all day and plus the day was so beautiful, sunny and warm that I just couldn't keep him home!! It seemed he just wanted to be close to his friends!

His friends tattled on him though and I found out he played some ball!! He begged and they finally gave in and let him play for awhile!

I think they were concerned as well as I was that he wasn't seeming to take care!

He was out late Saturday night again!

I begged him to come home and rest awhile after the ballgames were over and he did stop in for a shower and a chat but so soon he was off again.

Sunday he went to church with us and I was surprised how well he seemed. He went back to the ball tournament again Sunday after church and he never made it until Midnight last night after a campfire with friends!!

TODAY!!!.... HE IS WHOOPED!!!

He slept and slept!! I went to his room twice to wake him this morning and he just moaned and went back to sleep! A bit past noon I woke him again and told him we need to go to his Doctor appointment so he needs to come up!

He did and we went. He ate a bit and was crashed out on the couch the rest of the afternoon and even over our family supper time!

Dave took him to the Chiropractor now for another spine alignment.

I'm going to try to keep him down this week and we are thinking about going to the cabin this weekend so he can rest there instead of going out with friends! According to our family Doctor it will be weeks until he feels completely back to normal again.

Jordan is off to his first little league baseball game of the season! Dave is going to his game after the Chiropractor. He was so excited to start ballgames! He is also doing a drum recital at school tomorrow evening so his schedule is keeping us on our toes to! His CHOP appointment is coming up next week and we went to labs in Thorndale on Saturday to draw blood for this appointment. It comes around once a year and we are thankful that Jordan had a great year of health!

Spring is finally here!! It seemed to take a really long time but today was close to the eighty degree mark now and things are shooting out everywhere!! I got some flowers planted today and also some of the garden stuff is planted. I'm so excited to soon be getting food from the garden!!

Javon loves the fish pond right now!! The frogs are plentiful and loud! Once the water flows (starting tomorrow!) the frogs will quiet down since they like it better when the water stands still!

For now Javon has been busy hearing them, spotting them, catching them, bringing them in to show me then putting them back in the water!...:)

Check out his adorable little face on the monthly video update at Mahogany Bay Village!! He spent so much time with Mack at the Rum & Bean and they must have taken his picture and it made onto the monthly video update...:)

Here is the link...Javon at MBV!!

Jenika was so helpful on Saturday!! She bottled six gallons of Kombucha!! I had been pushing it off because it just looked so overwhelming on top of all else I had going on so Dave so nicely got her involved and she did a great job!! We now have six more gallons going! She drinks this drink everyday now to!! This is a huge step for her!...:)

She is so helpful! She folds loads of laundry and puts them away! She helps with supper! She loves the outdoors and she spends every spare minute there but this busy body is starting to become more helpful then ever!...:)

Justin's celebration of life Bar-B-Q was a great success! I so enjoyed getting ready for this party!!

Hosting is a hobby of ours and it felt great to get the campfire pit and the outdoor furniture back out to host our first "summer" party!! The evening was perfect!

Food galore!!

Chicken off the grill is the best!! Sasha is so well behaved!...:)

The gathering place!...

Justin and his closest friends...

We heard stories from first responders. We heard the story of the van driver. He was sore to but still blessed to be okay. His quick last minute jerk of the wheel most likely saved Justin from something much worse!

Justin's friends were here until late! Some of the parents were here to. Sammy (the driver of the truck) brought his whole family. Sammy is still really struggling with the whole thing and a revisit to the crash site with Justin the other evening proved to be a bad idea for him as he lost so much sleep over it and he so wasn't ready to go there and replay it all out! It seems he is way more traumatized by the whole ordeal then Justin because he saw it all happen and remembers lots of the little details!

I'm not sure when Justin will go back to the shop? We don't want to push him so maybe I'll start with putting him to work around home. Our mulch arrives this week and he might at least be capable of driving the tractor to get this done. The pool is waiting for set up and since he does this every summer season he should be good enough at it by now that it shouldn't take to much brain work for him...:}

BUT... We will try to keep him home and away from so many people for awhile. He wants to go to his ballgame later this week but I think Dave and I will be coming to! We regret that we didn't make ourselves boss with him over the weekend because it seemed like he was healing nicely until his busy weekend with to little sleep! Now he looks half crazed when awake!

Thank you all for praying and also to those of you who prayed for him during the worst of the accident! We are praying for a full speedy recovery... we are feeling BLESSED!

Enjoy the beauty of this LOVELY weather and this AWESOME time of year!!
