Gardening.... Pond... Animals...

Gardening is my most favorite thing about this time of year! It is WONDERFUL to go gather meals from the garden!

And kids in the garden is just the best to!...

The strawberry patch was just perfect this year!! We had the biggest reddest juiciest strawberries ever! The patch is coming to a close now and today Javon and I picked some but they are smaller and the supply is down to very little compared to last week this time!!

As we say goodbye to the strawberry season we welcome in the blueberries and we have tons of these this year as well!!

After the blueberries we should have big black mulberries and then red raspberries by the tons!!

The airplane is back in session for the season... On a calm evening you will hear and see it overhead and this is the sights from up above!! Jenika had her turn last week... They fight to go up!

 

Jenika spends hours everyday down at the barn right now!! She is perfect to take care of the animals and she rides Ginger everyday!! She is now the boss and it has really been a long time coming! Now that she is boss she has a blast down there!! So far she keeps him inside the gates...:)

 

We had great success with the hatching process!! These things all hatched out within a few days! Five baby chickens and thirteen baby guineas!

 

A new swimming hole back here!! It will be great! It's a swimming pond us and Jonathan's are doing. I'm not sure how it will all turn out but the guys are in charge and we look forward to swimming out there in a few weeks!...:)

 

 

 Today we made a visit to the library. We signed up for the reading program. We have some written goals and a chore chart structure in place for the summer. We are super excited to be carefree along with summer break but at the same time its a great time to teach helpfulness around the house and staying on track with reading, piano and chores is important to... It's a time when attitudes are more noticeable and charactors are tested...:)

Having the kids home everyday is so much fun and we praise the Lord for summer break yet at the same time we all have adjustments as we figure out what to do and how we will find routine... Breakfast in shifts is not my cup of tea because I'm forever cleaning up kitchen but I hate to wake them if we do late night bedtimes...

I have more beach pictures to share but I'm off to make a taco supper with shortcake for dessert... We have a tractor here this evening to pull some bushes so it will be work night to... I'll get the fun beach trip on here later...:)
