Cold March!! Wedding! Catch Up...

We are having a COLD March so far!

March came in like a lion and I think its still being a lion! The conditions were 28 degrees and windy when Dave and I went for a run this morning and that was just simply cold!

Catching up here is not as priority as it used to be but I do like to tap in now and then. It must be the stage I'm in. The winter flew by and we are anticipating spring any day now!

The kids are doing well in school and it was nice to stay put in the classrooms this year.

Jenika is now on the school soccer team which has her at practice after school a few hours a few times a week. Games start soon and this will have our last quarter of school hopping for sure but she really wanted to play. I think it will be a great learning experience for her! She is adorable in her soccer gear!...:) I can't wait to watch her games.

Justin and Eva are home from Florida.

It feels nice to have them in and out here once again. They really enjoyed time away from the cold and the suntans they have look so healthy! They drove from Florida straight to Mark Andrew's wedding. It was so good to see them drive into our cabin drive on Saturday morning.

Our last Zook sibling (Mark Andrew) has tied the knot and we LOVE Cynthia a lot! It has been fun getting to know her and we are thrilled that she will be moving to Pa to live here!

The wedding was lovely! We traveled to North Carolina on Friday and we were home again Sunday morning in time for breakfast.

This is how our family did the traveling and it made it so quick and simple!!

Jordan was pretty afraid of this small plane. I didn't realize his few pharchute plane mishaps had him so traumatized but when we had some turbulence in this little thing Jordan was down right scared. I felt so bad for him! It was only until we got up above the clouds after take off and then again when we were coming down for a landing in North Carolina. It was a bit bumpy and I hate this to but still worth it to me.

Jordan not so much... He did not get on the plane again to come home. Tina took his place and he came home with his cousin Josiah (Josiah brought a truck and trailer back that Mark Andrew had drove down. It had the wedding gifts and Cynthia's belongings) He didn't care that we were home in time for breakfast and he never got home till eight o'clock that night!

My prayer is that this fear would leave him. Until then we won't force him onto a small aircraft...:)

No Dave is not the pilot... Our guy must be bending down somewhere up front there...
The guys did some business in South Carolina on Friday with the plane. Our family was the ones who got to fly back and forth with it... Yay!!  I felt a bit guilty Sunday when I laid down for a nap knowing the rest of the family was all still traveling home and would be for many hours yet!... But... It sure felt great to be home.

Our weekend was chilly. The reception was outdoors. The campfires helped some but we all had real cold toes till the day was over!

We had a lovely cabin that Cynthia had arranged for the Zook clan to stay at. The kids so enjoyed time at this lovely North Carolina cabin between rehearsals and wedding parties! It had a zip line, huge swing set area, trails, a creek and six cute out bump cabins for sleeping. It was perfect for us!

Thanks Mark Andrew (PJ) and Cynthia for the fun weekend! Congratulations you two!!

We keep having snow... Every time I think this is most likely the last snow it goes and does it again!... It has been so very pretty but still wintry (which we are ready to get past)... Thank You Lord for this beauty and for the Spring that we know must be coming... Until then we WAIT.

My favorite running routes often have creeks, bridges and tunnels! The day is not always this lovely but these types of days are the ones that draw my attention to the camera the most...:)

Cloudy runs can be lovely to if I take the time to notice... Getting outside has become sweet therapy to my soul... The more I'm outside the more I want to be... :)

Jenika healed up from her teeth pull nicely! She had a few days where she felt a bit yuck but over all she was a champ! We are happy to move on in this orthodontist process.

I wanted to note this drawing Javon drew in class at school. It was during "alone time with God" they have in class... It spoke loud to me the day it came home in his back pack. God really does speak to little hearts!

The top half of this picture says "Heaven"

Jordan needs glasses! His focus is off. For now he will wear them in class and see if he can see better. He kept complaining that he cannot see the white board in class and he even sits in the front row!

Dave is back to running. It is so nice to have him run with me again. His ankle does swell though so he is still skipping many days and taking his runs easy. He and Jordan are doing the gym a few times a week but he wants to run hard again! We hope real soon!

My dad is still working on my paint projects! He comes some Saturdays and it has been so much fun getting this fresh paint on this winter!

The tower garden has become a huge highlight here in our home!! We eat from this thing every single day! It grows and grows! I cut it and it grows more! I did change out some of the plants just to keep it rotated where we have some fresh young stuff and that way it won't all have to be replaced at once. It gets all fresh water once a month. Other then that it gets checked for the proper PH level a few times a week and sometimes I add a bucket of water depending on how much water the plants are using. This depends on the size of them and the weather conditions. I did find a little knat that likes the tower garden so I put a fan in the nook and I run that on the tower for about ten minutes a few times a day. They are not liking the fan because I don't see them anymore.

I have been planting seeds indoors in hopes to grow more of my own garden plants this year! The nook seems to be a perfect sunny spot and if the plants get moisture they thrive out here! The time we were out for the wedding had them all drooping till we got back so I know if I'd step out to long everything would dry up fast. My morning routine consists of lots of things but this winter I have added caring for the plants in the nook and they have been such a winter brightener this year!..:)

I'm off for today... I hope to return sooner but I'm kind of into reading and other things so I get here when I get here... Last post... I saw I never did add those pictures...:/ I'm a mess... sorry to my blog readers and sorry to me for later.

Come on Spring!!
