March!!! Jenika's Oral Surgery....

Today seems like a good day to catch up on our blog.... It has been raining/snowing with a fierce wind already today.

We ventured out early to the oral surgeon with Jenika. She has five less teeth now then she did when she awoke this morning. Now the orthodontist can better do his work in her mouth.

We knew we'd be dealing with these crowding issues someday and it feels nice to be getting this done so her mouth and jaw can heal and grow the way it needs to. We hope this will give her a prefect smile...:)

This is the part of the mom life that I'd rather just push off! We have so many appointments since starting her orthodontist work! We do know though that it will be worth it and we are so thankful for great friendly folks that work in this tooth issue department!

Dave is back to running!! Twelve weeks is how long he did not run! He was so happy to be cleared!! I'm back to pulling him out of the office for morning runs. Its an adjustment for both of us again. It really is great to get out to run together when we can!

Today Dave is in Dallas.  He is gone for three days. "Secrets Of Successful Syndication" is a seminar that Dave has been doing for four or five years now. He always learns so much and now this last year he has been giving back and he helps with some of the educating!

He will be back on another podcast and he talks to people everywhere he goes! I'm excited to see where his education will take him this time. He always makes new friends at these events and seminars and his email box literally blows up after each of these podcast or events. (if it can anymore then it already does!)

I really have not a clue how the man stays sain but he does and he is loving the journey!

Justin and Eva are still enjoying Florida. Allen and Lynn are there with them to. I asked him to please send me at least one picture a day and so far it hasn't been everyday and one day I got the same one as a few days before and another time I got some trees with a sidewalk. One day Justin ran almost three miles and he sent me a picture of his running status! I love when the kids connect running with feeling better! We miss them around here but I'm sure they don't miss the cold here and I'm wondering why I'm not down there to??!

Jordan is loving high school. His social life. He enjoys youth group more now. He started Tuesday evening Living Room at Worship Center and loves it. His internship at the produce market has been good for him. His steel plate business got moved from our garden garage to a bay down at the shop. It was to cold for his machine here in the winter time and his orders have upped quit a bit so its just better down there. He can be as busy as he wants to be with this and I love it that Javon is his helper and side kick because it keeps them from getting bored around the house all day on these winter days. Jordan often gets off of school at the shop and works until Dave is done in the office. When demand is high he goes out with him in the mornings to then Dave takes him to school.

March is here!!

Garden seeds are arriving in the mail. I got some supports for the peas and cucumbers that I cannot wait to use. The grass and tree lines are showing some traces of Spring! It is just around the corner! I see those buds just waiting to burst with the warm sunny days!!

The grape arbor got a good trimming up and I hope for a better grape crop this year! (I trimmed them to hard last year!) We have 20 chickens coming soon and I need to go get the coop ready for them one of these days! Chickens are so much fun to have around in the summer time but we need to get rid of them come winter or they become hawk food! I'm thankful for neighbors that supply us with eggs in the wintertime but I always look forward to having our own fresh eggs again!

March is the month we take breakfast to church. It happens that our church takes place in a gym and I never realized the work that gets put into setting up and tearing down each Sunday until we were put on the breakfast schedule! About twenty adults show up hours before the congregation to set up EVERYTHING! Someone is then in charge of bringing breakfast for the set crew each Sunday morning. It is set up my months. We really do enjoy to serve in this way. If we cannot be there for any reason we just switch a week with the next months breakfast people. It makes leaving for church a little earlier and some spills in the car from time to time but as we learn how the process works it goes much more smoothly... now more so then it did at first!...:) We get everyone involved and when the kids help it makes the work load much lighter...:)

March is the last month for cooking classes! I have enjoyed these to the fullest and the kids seemed to to! Today I had the supplies there with instructions today and someone filled in for me so I could be with Jenika. (she did just eat soup and a Popsicle so she must be healing)... Yay!! Thanks Andrea! (They are making individual pizzas and chocolate "turtle butts" today.)  I will be thinking of them so much!

Next week we are so looking forward to being out as well!! Andrea will fill in for me once again! We have a very special WEDDING in North Carolina!! Mark Andrew (Dave's youngest brother) and Cynthia are getting married and we are looking forward to traveling to be with the family for this special day!! Dave made arrangements with a friend of his to fly our family there so the travel should be a breeze...:)

March is a fun month for running! It starts to warm up enough to make even the start of the run pleasant. Dave has been out of commission so I have been just parking and running some more unique places. I love when I can find beauty in my surroundings and often I have tunnels, bridges and creeks with lots of big trees in my routes!

Something is fun about running under covered bridges and along creek banks! The trees towering overhead seem to clean the air and it really is addicting even during the winter months. The real warm days last week (70's-80'!) had me panting and I ended up walking more then running! When it happens to fast I never do to well. I need to adjust slowly with weather change. That's why its hard for me to get on an airplane and travel some place and then get off to a different climate and run there! I enjoy walking but not running in those scenarios. Dave never seems to mind and he takes off running every time... making me look like a wimp...:)

Jazlyn... We are still not sure. She is loved here but I can't get past the sloppy outdoors and puppy in and out. My floors are dirty and I go over them more often then ever. I see her on my light nook chair (which she claims her spot!) and other furniture and I just cant seem to learn to like it. She is better mannered but she still distracts easily outdoors and if we don't stay with her when she does her business she will go play in the mud! She likes Sasha a lot. She looks longingly at the back door when she sees Sash and begs for out! They both seem to want to trade places from time to time!..:) Jazlyn still does not get to much freedom outdoors and indoors is limited to. This seems to really be helping her training! I do look forward to the time when we won't have to be on top of where she is all the time!

She sometimes sleeps with Jenika but she stirs and gets antsy in the morning before Jenika wants so she is still often in her crate overnight then I let her out when I come down.

I have pictures to add here but I'm going to add them later just so I for sure get this posted... I'm not sure why but I'm having trouble with my phone and laptop making picture connections... I'll take time to figure it out and then add them... I have some lovely Belize MBV pictures from Dave's trip last week and his foot and Jenika and a few more... Tower Garden!! It has been such a BLAST to eat fresh salads and greens everyday!! It just grows and grows!!

Stay safe it sounds nasty out there!
