July Fourth Vacation with The Zook's...

Happy Fourth of July!

We made it back from our fun Zook family getaway at the cabin this evening.

The bags and coolers are already unpacked and I did a load of laundry to. With the Little's at camp our laundry pile was smaller and we had fewer bags to unpack.

Jazlyn cannot figure out where Jenika is and why her and Javon did not return with us this evening! She seems so confused! Thanks to Sue we have a great dog sitter when we go away!

Dave and I are now on the side porch under the pergola with laptops. I'm blogging and he is working on the details of a family getaway to the beach we hope to do next month!

Its raining! The rain is much needed after a very HOT and DRY week!! The storms where trying to reach us all evening and they are finally here!! Yay! Thank you Jesus!

I have not mowed the lawn in over a week and its brown and dry today! This rain will help and I'm so THANKFUL!!

Our cabin getaway was fun! It was HOT!!

The days started with early pharchute plane time and runs on shaded trails. Afternoons were spent in the cabin and often in our cool bedroom for a rest! The bedroom we have at the cabin is a sanctuary for me when we are up with the Zooks! We have close to 60 people now and we are bursting at the cracks of this cabin! Sometimes I slink away just to catch a breath and regroup. The noise level can get crazy at times! The three bathrooms and the hot water heater are kept very very busy!

We enjoy time around the campfire every evening and the outdoor games are always going! The conversation is always so good and with this many people we never run out of it!

Papa Daudy treats the whole clan to ice cream on the first evening there. Everyone enjoys this!! (as do the ice cream parlor owners!)

We do two big meals everyday day (provided by two of the ladies) and two ladies do big snack spreads.  (one afternoons and one at campfire time later at night) Mom always brings and cuts up loads of fruit!!

The pharchute plane was busy as Dave and Jonathan got the feel of this new machine Dave just got a few weeks ago. I had told him last year that he either stops flying these or he gets a new one! (after three mishaps in a row!) He loves this new machine but it controls a bit different then his old one so he needs time to adjust. He did get me up with him last night and this morning and both times were pleasant.

Pictures of our time away... We missed our Little's so much but Jenika calls everyday and they are enjoying camp to the fullest!! Even in this heat!!

Justin and Eva spent a night and a day with us at the cabin. We love when they join us!

Lovely in the sky!

Daily Devotions look like this...:)

This is what we were smelling in the air! I don't know what tree this is but I want one on my own property!

We have great neighbors that let us use their pool! This was great for the kids to cool off in the afternoons!
We had two brush piles that needed burned so Jonathan lit them up! He called the fire station to warn them but they didn't answer so he went ahead and poured on fumes and lit the lighter! Off in the distance you will see fire trucks! It made for some excitement as the kids watched a few tankers and even an ambulance come rolling down the road! They would have had a hard time up the drive had it really been a cabin fire!!

 More beauty from the sky!...

On the way to the ice cream shop...!!! Uncle Jonathan always drives very careful to the ice cream parlor down the street!

Field games...

Jordan was the only one that rode with Dave and I to and from the cabin. It seems strange every time we go without the Little's!

Camp pick up is tomorrow evening and we are ready to see Jen and Javon again!

Tomorrow I will send the three guys to work with lunches and get ready for another weekend party here! My family is coming for a camp out and we are super excited to do a weekend with the Dienners to!

The fireworks are going off all around us here and even here on our property to! Josiah and uncle Peter just showed up with some wild fireworks! Jordan is helping them put them off in the side yard where Dave and I have a great view!...:)

Freedom is not to be taken for granted and we treasure Freedom and Liberty here today. We are so BLESSED to have a home in this great country!

Good~Night...
