July has been flying by at a crazy speed!
We have so much happening and I'm sad that I'm not recording it on here at a more timely manner but with so much going on I refuse to stress about posting. All to soon school will start and I will have more time on my hands then I know what to do with... (somehow I always seem to say this yet it never really happens this way!)
Justin took the three youngest to Rita's Saturday and then to the shop for a tarp... After that they set up a fun homemade water slide in the yard!! With a bit of baby oil this was a happening place for awhile!! We do have a fun pool but sometimes we think we need to mix things up a bit and have more action ~plus kill grass:/~ Leave it to Justin to make it happen!! I really enjoyed him here for awhile on Saturday and I realize how much I miss him around home so much!
We are running airplanes out of gas over corn fields!... Dave still loves life on the edge but at times he pushes me to far!...:}
This was him and Jordan the other evening when the sunset was stunning!! Instead of them enjoying it from the sky and me on the side porch we ended up in a corn field instead and by the time the action in there was over so was that lovely sunset... grrr...:}
Dave knew his gas was low and we were out at the house but he thought they could get in a quick spin... I heard them take off... Soon I heard a sputter... Soon I heard him give it gas and it sounded like he was gaining altitude again. Then it sputtered... I knew what was happening because I knew the gas was low and then I heard that engine die! From my porch I prayed a quick prayer that they were in a good spot to float to the ground without engine power. I got into my car and searched for them. They were not where I thought they sounded. I rushed into Rachel Ann's place and told her to call Dave for me... He laughed as soon as he heard my voice because he knew I'd be calling! (I left without my phone duh!)
He tried to make it back before the engine died but when he saw he wasn't going to make it he said to Jordan "Hey Jordan, Did you ever wonder what it would be like to land in a corn field? Well here we go!!" Once I located them we took the truck right through the corn to get to the plane so we could push it out of the field! Seriously it was scary but I guess living with this type of thing for so many years after awhile it just blows over me like... Oh well that was another close call but thank God once again we made it out alive!...:)
We are enjoying the garden!! Many of our meals come straight from the garden right now!! We mix it up and get creative but every way is just so yummy!...
Tony took us out on the boat last week... It was a perfect night to be on the water!! Justin couldn't come so we invited Mark.
Jordan and Mark both made it up on a wake board after trying for awhile! They had a BLAST!!
Dave shot right out of the water on his solum ski! He can still jump the wake but his arms are still feeling it today! It was a blast to watch the kids enjoy the tube, the rides, the jumps off the side as soon as the boat stopped. The sunset was so beautiful and the moon was full to!! Thanks Tony for taking us on the water!!! Dave traded him an airplane ride... I'd say we got the good end of the deal!...:)
Dave and Rose are back from Africa!! We enjoyed an evening with them the other night and tomorrow the Zook's do our annual Zimmerman Pond Day!! We are super excited to continue the catch up family time and swimming on a hot day!
We have our annual shop workers picnic on Friday and then we have our Belize guests arriving here to spend the whole weekend with us!! Steve and Jill we are so excited and Javon even has his air mattress bed space all set up in the basement already for him and Charlie!!
The big Dienner gathering is this weekend to and we just have so much going on we can hardly keep spinning fast enough but its Sweet Summertime and we are enjoying every single day of it while its here!!!
Jordan started working at the shop everyday... I miss him here early in the morning (we are both morning people) but he only works until lunchtime and its so good for him to work hard and earn some money during the summer months.
We all went to Doctor Steve's for adjustments tonight and Doc is super impressed with Justin latest scan results!! He has healed up so nicely from his concussion and we are so blessed that he hasn't had any side affects from it!
I'm off to catch some zzzz.... Have a great week!!
