Okay so this happened... The tooth implant did not work. A low grade infection in my mouth.
I knew something was not right with my body and my mouth but I had no idea the impact this was having on me. Had I known I would have went to the oral surgeon for an emergency appointment sooner!
This is yuck to look at but it shows the loose screw on the implant and it explains my issue...
The implant was a fail. The Doctor don't know why this happens sometimes. He just numbed me up real good, pulled it out, stitched it up and sent me on my way with another antibiotic!
We let it heal and try again this winter sometime!
It is such a bummer because this caused so much drama this summer but even yesterday already it felt like a fog had been lifted off of me!
I feel a ton better!!
I'm happy to be on the mend and I can tell much of my brain fog and loss of energy was coming from this!
The fall season is here. It was so very hot the past few days but thankfully today the heat wave has left and we get to enjoy some more comfortable temps!
The Half Marathon in Bird-in-Hand took place yesterday... We went up to catch the very end of the race. It was so hot and with Dave on crutches and me with stitches in my mouth neither one of us wanted to hang around to long... It was sad that I didn't come across this finish line this year but I hope to be long distance running again before to long. Cooler weather and no more mouth pain should have me back at it. Dave will take a bit longer but he will be running again soon to...:)
The Hyperbaric Chamber is all set up in the house! I couldn't be more thrilled!! Dave was in last night for about an hour and a half to try to control the inflammation in his leg.
I watched the girls at Doctor Steve's office put Justin into this thing often.
They call it "Diving"
I know how it works and what it is good for. (Inflammation is the biggest thing!) Once zipped inside this thing the pressure goes up and oxygen flows to the nose and mouth.
The pressure is high so there is no bouncing in and out of this thing! Once in with the pressure up it means you are there to stay. It takes about ten minutes for the pressure to go up and ten minutes for it to come back down so the person inside can safely come out.
The process is amazing and so good for any body aliments and inflammation that many of us have these days... particularly inflammation in the brain and gut.
I don't know when I will first go in!?...:)
Dave was able to work on the computer and get lots done in there last night while he was diving...:)
I hope to get Jordan in regularly and Justin is ready to dive again to...He thinks its a great place to nap...:) I'm sure we will make good use of this thing!
The season is Fall. The grapes are at the peak around here... My grape arbor is so much fun!
The newly planted seeds suffered a bit in the heat the past week but I hope they will revive now that it has cooled down again. The grass is turning brown so we pray for rain yet along with these cooler temps to get the garden thriving.
The pool water is drained and we hope to pack up the pool for the season. Even in the hot weather the kids were not into the pool anymore. We have been so THANKFUL for air condition in the house this summer already!! I'm sure without it the pool would have gotten used way more then it did!!
Yesterday was Kombucha Tea bottle day! I bottled ALL this tea... Are you ready to taste test!??
So far I have about seven or eight ladies coming on Tuesday to taste and learn and I'd love to have more yet! We plan to gather here at ten o'clock so if you have interest in Kombucha please join us!
The endless brew barrel might be ready for tasting by then although I keep trying it and it just tastes to sweet still. The first batch in this barrel style takes pretty long (like 20-30 days) but once ready it can be tapped out of every few days. The flavor is very unique and I'm excited to learn more on the CB "Continuous Brew" in this oak barrel.
Today we went to a church in Ephrata. New Horizon shared on the woman's ministry that they do in Colorado. The kids had some school friends here. One fun thing about our big school has been that pretty much every church that we have visited so far (which was many) have children from our school...:)
This morning before church was very unusual. Dave and I always do a run on Sunday mornings. Only about two miles but it gets us sweating. This morning we were kind of out of commission so we just ate instead...:)
We made creative omelets with all kinds of good stuff in them! It was fun for something different! I think we better not get used to eating this big instead of running though...:) Normally we just do cereal or something light on Sundays then we do a bigger lunch but today we skipped lunch because we were not hungry...:)
We stopped in to see my mom and dad after church. Mom stepped off the bus a few days ago and her ankle cracked. She to has a small fracture like Dave does! Same ankle and everything! It was bout half funny to see her and Dave both each with a foot propped up feeling each others pain...:)
There won't be no getting mother in that chamber though...:} This Hyperbaric Chamber is not the place for those with a claustrophobic condition!...:)
Enjoy this lovely Sunday!
I'm looking forward to the week ahead with more energy then I've had in the previous ones! It feels for real like I'm a new person!! How can a piece of metal irritating my gums make this much of a difference!? I'm so THANKFUL to be feeling more like myself!!
