A post From Belize (family vacation week)

We are here...Belize is beautiful as always!

The weather... Its hot. Our AC runs all day everyday! We are not complaining.

Jenika and Javon are loving this island life once again! It was fun to watch them as they discussed the changes that time has brought to Mahogany Bay Village! The Great House that once was quiet enough o be our school classroom is now hopping with action! Actually tonight a wedding is taking place upstairs where we did school!

Dave has his office places where he gets his work done... I visit him now and then.... This was his spot yesterday...

Our Lobster diving day was yesterday... We went out on the last day of lobster season and caught enough lobsters for our lunch... It was a perfect day to be on the water and we all caught lots of sun on our skin!

Hair blowing in the wind on these beautiful tropical waters! How can this be beat!? Its so beautiful here!!

He has this fascination with coconuts! He works and works until he has them broke open!

The Beach Club here at MBV is a happening place to! They now serve food over here and these cabanas are so sweet!  We have a boat that goes every hour during the day to shuttle people to and from the Beach Club... It takes about eight minutes each way.

Crystal clear water!!

I took a walk today here on property... The vegetation has grown so much and so much is happening here! We are open and in full swing! The restaurants are open. The pool bars are open. The golf carts are rented out. The little side street shacks with food are open and busy. The Great House is the popular place to be and the breezes the blow through just make you want to lounge here...:)

Check out my walk to the Great House today...

Still room to grow but we had a record breaking "rooms rented" last night! We had 177 rooms rented out! That is more then any other place at one time on the whole island of Ambergris Caye!

Volleyball nets set up... Corn Hole to...

The Food Shacks on the way in the main street... Many locals come here for food everyday right alongside the tourists...

Great House... This is such a popular building here at MBV! (and on the island)

Real signs...

Rum and Bean... The Little's love it here but I have yet to get a coffee drink here. They have coffee in the Great House and that works well enough for me...:) The bean brings back so many memories for us though!

The street where we lived one winter... It has grown so much you can hardly see the cottages anymore! The vegetation has grown over between the houses just the way is was designed to do!

The walls that the kids once ran on are now all grown over with mangroves... This is better for safety reasons I'm sure!...:)

The flowers are so pretty here! The hummingbirds are so plentiful to! We are watching a hummingbird nest and its so fascinating!

Look who I met at the square...:)

This is the rental building...

Many golf carts line the streets and parking area! This only means one thing! Many people are here!

People checking in everyday!

Great House entrance...

Inside this once hollow shell is so pretty and busy now!! We watched so much of this building be built and its so exciting to see it do what it was designed to do!

Check-In area...

Lounge area....

Restaurant overflows out onto the Veranda...

Pool... It was so busy here today I couldn't find a chair this afternoon! Gone are the days when we were out here all alone!...:)

Parking lots are so busy!

He Still Works... We are happy tomorrow is Sunday so we can have him without distractions...:)

Its so great to see this place so alive! It feels like guests really like it here at MBV! The village feel really draws people in and the service is top notch!

Things are going well with us all in a Family Cottage. Justin has the couch and Eva has the bunk with Jenika that Justin had last time we were here.

We get out for morning runs. Running on the pebbled streets feels so familiar.

We meet at the shacks for breakfast at nine o'clock every morning and decide what we will do for breakfast. We takes turns picking a devotion to share for the day. We do supper together at six o'clock and then often Aquire gets played in the house at night.

Jenika and Javon go to bed early. They are usually so tired! They wake early mornings.

I'll do more pictures and another post on Belize later. For tonight I'm calling it a day... I want to gather highlights and pictures from everyone at the end and sum up or Belize vacation.

I will share more details on the exciting growth here at MBV to...

Good-Night
