Corn Days...

We had our corn days!... We spent one day this week at sis Marilyn doing eight hundred ears of corn for her, mom and Kath. The next day I did three hundred organic none GMO ears for my family. It is always a chore until it's done but it is so worth it when we go to throw the soups together in the fall! (Just for the record... I got sixty two cup bags of corn out of my three hundred ears)

The kiddos always look forward to corn day to! They hangout in the pool to cool off and Micah LOVES the golf cart!!...

His stage though!! It is precious!! We all love on him as much as he will let us!!

We enjoyed an afternoon at Wilma's pond! Jordan had a blast fishing!! He caught two cat fish and a snapping turtle between swims! ~I only had my toes in the water~...!:) Thanks Wilma!! This was a huge highlight this week!

Today we worked together to get the yard work and some cleaning done then we slipped out for those school supplies! The list came this week and I figured we might as well get it over with! We are now hopefully stocked with school supplies and sneakers for the school term! Clothes shopping I think I'll do alone...:) Shopping with Little's wears me out and they are not even little anymore! I literally sat down on my knees in the middle of the school supply isle today to try to talk some sense into my daughter... She likes to do things herself and she thinks nothing of slipping away from me often! She thinks she is old enough to go to the other side of the large store by herself! She slips into other isles when I'm occupied with the school supply list and before I know she is out of sight again! Her innocence scares me sometimes!


Jordan's infusion day was today but we are giving bigger gaps just to see how his body responds. I think we will do an infusion tomorrow or Monday.

It was my turn to ride the parachute plane again this evening! The weather was perfect and I was all good up  there until we saw a low flying plane coming right towards us! It took my heart for a loop until he turned and we saw it was a small fixed wing plane. A few of Dave's flying buddies have those and we were flying side by side up there for awhile he was enjoying us up there with him I think. I think I had my flying fix for awhile now...:)

The weekend ahead looks lovely! Justin has a ball tournament tomorrow and we have some projects around the house we want to get to. (The garden being one of them!)

The campfire is burning and the moon is full!! I'm off... Enjoy this lovely summer weather!! We are truly BLESSED!!
