So this quick trip to Belize happened... Dave and I left the kids for five days.
Belize was so warm and the time there was very refreshing.
Dave was busy. He had about 25-30 investors join him in Belize for a meet up.
I got to tag along.
The first thing he did when we arrived on site was get into meeting up with his people... I took a walk around and got all sentimental...:)
The kids!! I could see them everywhere I looked! I walked up to the Great House School Room and when I found it empty I just stopped and remembered our school days here!...
So much has changed yet its still feels the same.
So much growth happened!
The vegetation!! It has grown in leaps! Everything feels lush and green! Nobody is out watering everything everyday anymore because it is now established and doing well on its own!
I'll go back to the beginning and then I'll share lots of pictures as I go...
The days leading up to departure are always busier here for me as I stock the fridge, prepare food and catch up all the house work before I go. Packing is a breeze when its just Dave and I going away but its always a stretch for me to get out of here when the kids stay behind. Once I'm on the plane all is good and I never regret tagging along on these trips.
The kids like it at home alone and I think they enjoy a break from mom and dad...:)
All was good each time I called home and the kids had the house all cleaned up when we got in past midnight last night! I know they work hard to keep up the house chores and I'm so proud of them for handling things so well!
(I must mention that I found nerf bullets in every corner of the house! I wonder what that was all about!? I guess I won't ask...:})
We had great flights and as soon as we touched down in Belize the sun was already so hot! It was great to feel the hot tropical sun for a few days!
San Pedro Town was just how I remembered. I just wanted to go there everyday...:) And I did.
I had a lot of time on my own because Dave was busy in many meetings but we did spend most of our meals together which was great. That Belize food is always so yummy!
I walked to and from town a few times and just took it all in...
Meanwhile Dave... Meetings almost every hour somewhere or another...:)
Mahogany Bay Village... Still Felt Like HOME...:)
Check out the growth!! And the hustle and bustle of people, golf carts and open shops and restaurants! So different to see and hear it all open and operating! No more pool to myself...:)

| MBV has a garden!! They grow vegetables to serve in the restaurants. |
Inside the once empty Great House!... So Beautiful the way it turned out!
Lobby and Check-in...
Remember how the kids used to run on the canal wall!? Not anymore... The mangroves have taken over now...
Our house in Belize that we stayed with the kids...
The Beach Club is up and operating... A boat takes guests to the beach every hour in the forenoon then every half hour afternoon...
Boat leaving for the Beach Club...
Driveway into the resort looks the same...
Pretty flowers are always a part of the tropics!...
We have organized signs and house numbers now!
Food shacks make it handy to eat right on site now! No need to go town if we don't want to... (I always want to though...:))
Guard shacks on streets
On site chocolate boutique... Whats not to LOVE about this!? (We did a day tour on this chocolate process, I'll share)
Beautiful sign...
We have our very own golf carts on site for rental called "Wheels"!
Still Lots for sale!..
No trip to Belize would ever be complete without a "Lobster Dive" with Tony!
I think we caught like 37 Lobsters!
Lobster meal on the beach to end this fun afternoon on the water!
We did a day in Punta Gorda touring the "Chocolate" farms...
We flew out of San Pedro early in the morning and started our tour at nine o'clock. We were back on the island by four o'clock pm.
The "Chocolate Process"...
This "Chocolate" is the real deal!! This was a tour put on by our Coffee Guy in Panama so we got a bit educated on coffee to on this day out! Plus he packed a suitcase of coffee for us from our coffee farm in Panama! It cannot be bought around here so anytime Dave meets up with these coffee guys we try to get them to bring as much as they can! We LOVE the SPECIALTY COFFEE that comes from "International Coffee Farms" in Panama!!
And we brought home a box of this chocolate to go with it!
Rum & Bean coffee shop... Looks the same... Drinks are great here!
Thanks Hon for letting me tag along on this one! It was a refreshing time away!
From these "Pebbled Streets" of San Pedro....
To the "Snowy Roads" in Atglen the world is a beautiful place!
MBV has forever changed my perspective about how life works! We are so blessed and I look at life in Lancaster County differently everyday because of the time I get to spend in Belize and other places!
I'm thankful to live in such a beautiful part of the world. I'm thankful to be back home to the kids.
I'm thankful that the fever/congestion bug that I caught before we left is finally leaving my body. I was a bit under the weather in Belize this trip and early bed time was a must! Dave used to make it in somewhere around midnight after his meetings were done for the day but I was long sleeping by then...:)
It is lightly snowing here today. The past two days were snow days at home for the kids but today they got out the door to school once again.
We are loving the snowy winter but we will be super happy to see spring time arrive!!
