Saturday Night Post... Guys Weekend Florida Trip

I'm jumping on to do an evening post...

I rarely do evenings but tonight is quiet here so here goes...

It's now February!!

Our Sunset on this beautiful snowy evening was breathtaking!...

At one point this evening outside my kitchen window I saw six deer just slowly walking around out behind the back yard! It was fun to watch them and Jenika had her hands full keeping Jazlyn quiet once she spied them...:)

This week we have had some snowy winter weather which made for some school delays and even one day a whole day cancellation! We enjoyed every minute although Thursday my day was kind of laid out already and it was also cleaning day so to all the sudden have all the kids at home all day kind of had me retracing this day up in my head!

I love snow days at home! The constant in and out got to me sometimes but I know they did need to warm up often with this one so we just kept hanging up those piles of snow clothes over and over again all day long...:)

This was going on for many many hours this week! Even in the zero degree temps!

The morning runs are totally frigid right now but we still get out as often as it works out... The air is fresh and crisp! The beauty is often breathtaking and many times I pull out my phone to grab a photo of the winter beauty!

Running in the cold does not bother us. Once we are running we are often sweating under the layers. The lungs always have an adjustment with weather and temperature change but its so gradual that they just adjust to the cold. We will see how surprised they are next week when we run the beach in Belize...:)

A run last week in one of our favorite running spots...

The tower garden is doing wonderful and it really pops to life with these sunny days!

We still fill dishes for the boys... At least once a week these go into the basement fridge where they will be up for the grabbing... Justin eats lots of these right now!

My dad completed the paining project here!! I just love how much brighter the house feels with all the fresh paint!

Last weekend Dave was in Nashville speaking at a "High Speed Alliance Conference"and we were out of routine all weekend anyway so we had a giant sleepover here Friday night!

Dave's weekend pictures... His hotel where he stayed was the Oprahy Land Hotel and it looked gorgeous!!

I told him I think I wanna go here!...:)

Back to our weekend at home...

Mark had Jordan spend the night because they went out early goose hunting Saturday morning... This was the back of my van for a few days as it was used to haul around all the goose gear! lol!

Jordan drove me to the grocery store one day with all this clutter in the back!...:)

Javon had Austin, James and Micah spend the night and as I tucked them all into Javon's little bed Friday night I just had to hold back the chuckles!

They were up with the sun and the freezing cold temps (14 degrees!) did not keep them inside!

I captured this picture of them as I was coming back from my Saturday morning run...

Jenika of course did not want to be left out so she had Leanna here for a sleepover to!

They baked a batch of brownies and played outside to!

Mom and Dad spent the night to!! So dad could start painting bright and early! He was at it about 6AM!
HE IS THE BEST!! (he even cleaned my high windows!)

The new carpet comes next week and then the new furniture! Working on this process has made January fly by!

This weeks freezing temps had me home much... I caught the drift and began to organize... I watched a few episodes on Netflix of this little lady that helps people declutter their homes! It feels great to go through things!

This was attic, my closet, Jenika's closet, some kitchen cabinets week! We will see how much farther I get with it... I'm not a clutter person anyway so its not been to time consuming but I am getting things out of here that we haven't used in a long time and organizing the things that we want to keep...

Put it all into the middle and go through it!

This was this morning... It was so magical with snow sticking to everything and it just sparkled everywhere!

The temperature screen shot...

This morning was 2 degrees when running! My eyes were not sure what was going on but it was still great to make it around the three mile block!

This is what it does for me so skipping to many days in a row is never in (anybody inside our households) favor...:)

This weekend Dave is away again... This time he took the two oldest boys.

To Florida. West Palm Beach. They left Friday morning early (3:45AM) and plan to be back Sunday afternoon sometime.... We miss them but I'm so glad they got to go do this trip together!

Dave has been wanting to start a yearly weekend guys get away for awhile now and he finally got it going. He has a friend connection in West Palm Beach that has a little area of his house that he let them stay! Its beautiful I hear and the adventures they are having look like a real blast! I'm guessing they are eating well and going nonstop all the time!!

Here are some of the glimpses I'm getting on my end and I'll let you decide if it looks fun and adventurous...:) I'm still wondering how they got Jordan up in that chopper without a fight!??

Race Car Fun... I can only imagine!

They love getting around on these mopeds...

We have a baptism service at church tomorrow that the Little's and I will attend then we are excited to see our guys again!!

Today Javon was skating with my sister Marilyn's boys almost all day long!! The temperatures have warmed into the 20's again which feels like a heat wave! It looks like warmer from here on out to start of our February!

Jenika and I did some clothes shopping and I so enjoy the girl time with her! She talks to everyone!...:)

A few of my favorite things from this week to close out this post..

My bucket of lovely eggs! The chickens are nice and cozy in the coop these days and they lay beautiful eggs!

This is a new favorite here! Its great in coffee to give it a sweet twist! Its great on pancakes or in oatmeal to! If you ever see it on your store shelf do yourself a favor and grab some! It cannot be found just anywhere...

The house as it sparkled in the sun and fresh white snow one morning this week...

The freshly cleaned and organized closet where some hangers now sit empty and you can see the shelf! (I won't show the before picture on this one...:})

Quote that spoke to me...

Fresh falling powdery snow that fell softly all day long on Friday while I was home alone organizing, sipping hot drinks and listening to soft music...:) The kids did have school on this day although I'm not sure why! The roads were a total mess!! (I don't think they were asking for this much snow but it just didn't stop!) Bless those school bus drivers!!

Cast iron quote... Just because these are my favorite kitchen tools ever created!! I don't know what I ever did without them!

I'm off to get Javon at the ice rink... I'm sure they enjoyed the ice this week while we had it! And what a great old fashioned way to burn off the energy!!
