Even on rainy days when the river banks are flowing over the brim we see beauty...
This morning was raining and windy. Yesterday was worse. We skipped yesterdays run because of rain.
We try hard not to skip two days in a row so we just grind it out... we are always glad we did..:)
This morning I woke with brain fog and still so very tired! Last nights party got late and this morning was just one of those rainy cold days where you'd want to do nothing but snuggle and drink all the hot coffee drinks!
When I met Dave for a run this morning I told him before we started out "I'm just not feeling it!" BUT... When we had our miles in at the end of our run I felt like a totally new person!!
We are so THANKFUL for this fresh start to our day. We are so THANKFUL that we can do this together. We are so THANKFUL for the quiet beautiful roads we get to run! We rarely meet up with even one car on our four mile run! This morning this muddy looking, full to overflowing creek had me thinking back to the muddy and also overflowing "Jordan River" that we were seeing last week in Israel!
Soon we will be seeing all the green color pop forth down here! We are excited for spring but its funny how we talk about the seasons... We are not looking forward to the gnats that bug us down here during the warmer months...:) I think because we run out here during all the seasons we find things that we love and appreciate about each one...:)

This morning was Justin's second load out with his new truck, trailer and mule! I happened to be at the shop this morning while he was loading up... This rig looks so big and scary to me!
I'm so proud of you Justin! You will thrive at your new business venture! (he reminds so much of his dad when I watch him handle this rig!)
My new chickens made it into the new barn this morning! I pick them up way down in Peach Bottom but its a great drive through all the Amish country and I so enjoy having chickens and fresh eggs! They get organic feed and lots of pasture and the eggs are always wonderful!!
This will be great!! We can walk into the tack room without sinking into the mud outside and the whole layout is just like we wanted! This little box below will be for the sitting chickens or baby peeps we have! Two new dust to dawn doors will keep those critters out at night that were coming in to snatch the poor chickens!!
One of these times we will figure out how to keep the hawks, foxes, raccoons and all else that like my live chickens for a meal out of here! This new barn should help the issue!
Jenika is a great barn keeper and she does a great job keeping everything neat and tidy down here!
We are ready for Jen's horse as soon as things dry up... This barn will be perfect!
The garden is soggy and it will be waiting a bit yet before seeds get dropped into it...
Tonight my family is coming for a family night. Tomorrow night we are with Dave's family.
Jenika had her first week of soccer practice and Jordan is doing tons of parallel parking practice!
Justin don't think he will ever have money again after putting all of his into his new rig but he is growing in every way and he will come out stronger...:)
Life is about to burst into a new type of busy right along with the earth that's about to burst forth all of its fresh color! We are always busy as we do all the outdoor spring work and then we find that new normal as we maintain all that new outdoor life coming to life...:)
Happy Friday...
