This beautiful day!
It's been perfect!
The leaves are falling and the season is changing.
We still see lots of green out there but the water temperature has changed! The water in the creek and here in our pond is getting breathtakingly cold...:)
I see and hear all about the pumpkin spice stuff these days. (I don't get caught up in it... I wish I could but I cannot drink those sweet spice drinks. Maybe when I find one that I feel good on I'll be all into pumpkin spice to...!...:))
The season is a fun and beautiful for sure!
This mornings run... And Dave's creek showers are coming to an end I'm certain!...lol This morning he was gasping and creating all sorts of racket as he did a quick dip in the water... He hides his soap in the bushes down here somewhere... He goes back into his office wide awake and refreshed! :)
The places we run... Its the way we get Dave out of his office chair. Its an hour of beauty and replacing stale air with fresh air into our lungs! It makes for a perfect start to our day! We get out every morning it works out and we have both come to enjoy it so much that we try our hardest to schedule everything around this morning hour!
The Bird-in-Hand 5k and Half Marathon happened last weekend.
Javon ran the 5k despite being in the dentist chair most of that day!
He ran with his uncle Jonathan and cousin Bryant! He made great time!! I tell him he was born to be a runner!...:)

The next morning early (the morning of the "Half") Dave leaned over in bed and said "You want to come flying with me over Bird-in-Hand?" I opened one eye and saw the dark skies and I said "no thank you I'm good"...:)
I regretted it.
He went up and look at the beauty he captured in the sky above Bird-in-Hand Half Marathon...
Off he goes... its just breaking day!
Lancaster County and all its beauty!! We are so BLESSED to live in this community!
We have made a verbal agreement together that we will run this race again next year! We better get to the training!
Look who sold his car...
He will miss driving this car and I already miss seeing him go in and out with it!
He is back to driving the old beater truck...:)
I could go on and on about how he is growing up and learning all things life.
It made sense on paper for him to sell the car so he did it without a blink. We are proud of his self discipline. He shows it everyday with his runs and workouts. The way he chooses to eat healthy. The way he reads. He is hungry and open to learn. The way he LOVES on his girl. The way he keeps track of his bills and paperwork. Its all been so fascinating to watch!
We are so proud of you Justin!
An intense game of Aquire with his dad, uncle Peter and an Airbnb expert on a Saturday afternoon is a great way to get around a successful Airbnb'er that he wants to learn from... This game never gets old ...
We are dry here. We need rain so bad. Things are starting to really look dry but I think the yard work break is a treat. I have been doing a lot less mowing and weed care because its even to dry for weeds to grow!
The grass turns brown but the flowers seem to like it dry...
Tower Garden got new plants and is still thriving outdoors...
Grapes galore!! The arbor gave way more this year then ever before! I got gallons of yummy juice canned away in jars from our very own grape arbor plus we have enjoyed all the fresh snacking in between!
When the best juiciest ones fall to the ground I just take my kettle out to the arbor and pick them up...:) It was a bit time consuming but I enjoy every minute out here...
Dave has been enjoying the sky so much this summer that I'm guessing he will be getting up there until his toes start to get numb from the cold...:)
It has been a great summer for flying!
Somebody had a birthday!
Jordan is now 17 years old!
We did family pictures on his birthday but I don't have them yet.. Looking for pictures of Jordan have me realizing I hardly take pictures of him anymore! I wonder if it has anything to do with his busy teenage social life...:) I need to get him on more pictures!
Jordan is so super excited about hunting season! He was gifted a trophy white tail hunt to Kentucky for his birthday! He is over the moon about it and I'm sure his dad will enjoy watching this excitement play out up close and personal come November when they go on the trip!...:)
Jordan is doing well in school. He is so helpful with Jen's volleyball practice pickups. He picks up Javon at main campus a few days a week and they go to the shop for a few hours. He starts internships tomorrow so he is looking forward to getting back into that prefab truck on Fridays again!
He drives his little white car. He is in and out everyday multiple times (the freedom of driving independently still has not wore off and I LOVE it to!)
He plays his music loud.
He is healthy and we are so very grateful!
He shoots his bow and makes multiple weekly visits to Thunder Ridge. (where they sell all things hunting. They know him well at that place by now...:))
Jordan makes people laugh everywhere he goes. He is a loyal true friend and he cares deeply for people.
His stories are always the best and they always end in some type of humor!
When Jordan is home to hang with Justin he likes that. (which is pretty rare) They laugh so hard that it makes me laugh from my place in the house...:) We love that they are best friends!! Javon always ends up where they are even if he is supposed to be in bed already...:) (sometimes he was all tucked in and he will hear them laughing in the basement... he then can't help but sneak down to them. They are both so good to him... he knows he is lucky to have big brothers that love him! He tells me often!)
Jordan is such a great spirit and we are so BLESSED that we get to do life with him!
Happy Birthday Jordan!!
The school sale is coming up next week! This is always a bustling busy weekend for the school patrons! If you want to come out for fun, food, auction items please join us!
Run a 5k...
I'm off to enjoy the rest of this picture perfect day!! Jenika has an away volleyball game this afternoon. She does well. She tries to like it. She starts out well but she soon gets tired of it. She would much rather be doing something with her animals, flying a kite, playing basketball with her cousins and riding or driving a golf cart. I know it does her good. The practice is good for her. Doing the hard stuff even when she don't feel like it is good for her (and all of us). We are willing to keep trying those sports... But we know her better... We know she will realize someday soon that this just isn't her thing... She is a wonder with a horse! She draws! So well! I want to share some of her AWESOME drawings but I have to get her permission first...:) Sometimes she reads my blog and she doesn't appreciate when I share to many details about her...:)
(I get it my Love...:})
Enjoy this LOVELY day!
