Saturday Prayer Request/Jordan's CHOP app./Track & Field...

My mom is in the hospital. Please pray for her. She has been having high blood pressure and the scary symptoms that come along with this. She had a routine check-up yesterday and her Doctor wanted her in the ER ASAP!! She talked her way into only a Doctor appointment with her family Doctor instead, but again this Doctor also wanted her to get into the ER ASAP!!

Once there they got the blood pressure down with medication but they are not sure at this point what spiked it so high. Her week was a bit rough with shortness of breath and just not feeling the best. Dad is in Potter County at the mountains for work weekend and he feels a bit far away and helpless at this point.

Kath is moving back into the Old Mill house (my home place) after some awesome remodeling!! It is an adorable place and they are so excited to be back into their home once again!! I'll post pictures soon! She amazes me with her calmness about the moving! Dave and the big boys were helping move big items back in last evening while Marilyn and I were in the hospital with mom. Kath will love her new beautiful home!!

Mom is able to come out of the hospital today on stronger blood pressure medication. We pray for complete healing on Mom once again!! Hang In There Mom!!

Jordan missed his "Track and Field" on Thursday!! We had his CHOP appointment in the morning and we hoped to have him back at school in time to start Track and Field at eleven o'clock. Traffic on the expressway had us stuck!! We were an hour and a half late for his appointment! We allowed plenty of time but an accident had us crawling for miles!!

Jordan's Doctor gave a great report! He is doing well. We were a bit concerned about his cough that started a few weeks ago. They did a lung test and it showed up perfect. He has some allergies and I guess this must be where the cough is coming from. We have since started him on Fire Cider a few times a day and his room has a purifier from Smucker Energy plus the oil diffuser. His cough is already better. I also closed up the house after finding layers of yellow pollen on the furniture last week!! We have open fields and much wind and the pollen is bad in this dry weather! We celebrated a good report at the Reading Terminal Market!! After Jordan realized he was going to miss most of the Track and Field day we decided we might as well keep him out all day and go to market for some goodies!! Alvin and his boys loaded us up with many unhealthy yet oh so good goodies!! Keith's donuts are out of this world and yes we certainly binged!!...:) Chicken from uncle Sam and ribs from Pharas!! We ate on the way home and again with Justin when we got home!! It took a few good runs to feel like we got it out of our system...!:)

We are planning to do Jordan's treatment on our own now. Nurse Colleen will teach us how. We will do it weekly starting soon. We can see how Jordan's body does this way and maybe we can work better with natural remedies this way. If we have more control over treatment we can decide if we want to hold off. Change makes me nervous at times but we are excited to do away with the four hour infusions. Jordan's weight and height amazed the Doctor once again. He looks so much healthier then he did a few years ago!! His skin looks great! He is not on any medications and they are also happy about this! He is still not making his own antibodies at all yet but we hope this will come back yet!

He celebrated his great report with GF whoopie pies from Uncle Alvin!!

If you look closely you can see the allergy eyes!

We were sorry to miss the beautiful day at Track and Field but it feels nice to have this appointment out of the way! Now we journey towards independent treatments!

Jenika's Track and Field Day was yesterday...

It was low key and she hardly did any competitions. She did a few softball throws but not much else. Javon and I took lunch and had a picnic lunch with her. The day turned out sunny and perfect for Track and Field!! It felt strange to be at Fairhaven Track and Field day and only have Jenika there.

Next year we plan to move Jen to Linville so we can cut some of these events back a bit!...:) It has been a bit crazy this month for sure! She will miss her school but she has not argued once and she is looking forward to school at Linville Hill.

This morning Dave and I ran together.(4 miles) Saturdays are a favorite day for us here!! They start out like this for some... On the new swing seat watching Curious George...:)

Marilyn's boys were here with my kiddo's while we were at moms and we came home to this ballgame in the back yard... this fun kiddie pool was being used for home base!!... Summer is upon us and we are excited to be filling up our back yard pool next week!

It feels great to have another very busy week of May behind us. It feels great to be a week closer to no more school days! It feels great to have a slower paced weekend ahead. The mulch pile is here but it waits out there until next week to be spread.

Burgers are on the menu for supper... grilling and outdoor fun feels so awesome!!! The HONEYSUCKLES are HERE to!! I smelled them this morning while running!! It is almost June!!! MY FAVORITE MONTH!!  June is wide open and I tell my family I plan to keep it that way and we are planning for a full month of "Staycation"!! Who says we can't vacation in our own home!!?? I can't wait!!

Have a BLESSED weekend!!
