Day #2 Snow Storm Stella!

This is now day #2 of "Snow Storm Stella"!

We haven't ventured to far from the house.

The wind outside is still just a whipping away!!

The house is full of laughter and noise. Eva and Justin keep things lively. It was sledding and boarding most of the day today and this evening I got out there to capture some of it with my camera. Tonight it's supper in shifts, warm baths, ball fun in the basement and popcorn and movies!!

The sunset was perfect against the snow. I love how this picture of these two lovebirds turned out!...:)

She has become one of us... We have grown to love Eva Jane along side of Justin...

The big boys made a home made ramp out in the middle of the field yesterday and they all go flying over it with sleds and snow boards!

Dave had a flight to catch first thing this morning. To Florida for a speaking event that took place this evening. He had a canceled flight. He had another flight scheduled for ten o'clock AM. It took two and a half hours to get to Philadelphia airport so he missed that flight. He was geared to come back home but it happened that he was able to get a flight out at twelve thirty which had him in Florida by four o'clock and his event (where he was speaker) began at six o'clock PM! He left the house this morning at Three thirty AM!

Tomorrow he has a flight to Kansas where he will be for a few days. We miss him already but the school days off have us anything but bored! If nothing else we could always be picking up and drying those snow clothes that litter everywhere after each child decides to take a sledding break.

Justin is thinking he is tired of the snow after his truck took a few beatings. We are thankful for his big four wheel drive back here but he has gotten even that thing stuck a few times and this evening he decided to try a short cut through the field (have no idea where his common sense was!) and he got stuck so bad that he lost a few hubs and his one tire came off the rim! His front fender is loose and he came in kind of grumbling as I chuckled at his stupidity...:) Dave calls him "young groundhog" quit frequently these days but he reminds me ever so much of his younger self!! Never a dull moment for sure!

Jordan enjoyed a few hours with his class guys sledding today. Most of the day I was in the house alone! The kids are out in this frigidness sledding all day long! It sounds so very windy and cold out that I can't believe they last as long as they do out there! The cheeks are so rosy tonight and down time feels amazing to them I'm sure!

Thank You Jesus for the beauty in this "Snow Storm Stella" and we will be just as thankful for the beauty that comes with "Spring" whenever you decide we have enough of winter!..:) Until then we enjoy being mostly drifted shut snowed in back here!...

We already got news of a two hour delay in the morning but the kids are so wore out from the winter fun that I think we will go to bed regular time...

Stay warm on this day #2 of "Snow Storm Stella"!
