Independant Family This Week...

Another airport. Another trip. Another adventure.

With only a weeks notice I decided to hop a ride with Dave to a speaking outing he was doing in Nashville Tenn. He had plans to stay at Kent and Maryanna (his sister) for the one night he was gone.

When we realized Justin will be in Florida and Jordan will be on his week long missions trip we figured it would be a great opportunity for me to slip along and hang with Maryanna! I tried to make arrangements for the Little's to stay the night with school friends but busing became an issue (none PV students cannot ride PV buses) so they stayed with our favorite neighbors and cousins! (Thanks Jonathan's!!)

I got the Little's on the bus Tuesday and picked up Dave at the shop and we were off to the airport for our short flight to Nashville. We made ourselves at home at Maryanna's when nobody was at home upon our arrival...:)

Maryanna soon made it in with her kiddos and we said "come on in and make yourself at home!"...:)

Dave and I, Kent and Maryanna enjoyed a lovely meal out Tuesday night.

Wednesday morning Dave went to his speaking event and I stayed at the house to enjoy the day with Maryanna and her kiddos.

Maryanna made a great breakfast!! Frittata and waffles with fresh strawberries and coffee!

Maryanna and I always have so much to talk about! It was great to catch up with her and see where they live!

Jackson digging into his yummy waffle!

Her stage... It is so busy. I remember it well. How did I enter the next stage of my life so fast!? Her kiddos loved my attention and it was great to spend time with them!
We are all scattered out this week!

Jordan is in Chicago since early Monday morning! It is a school 8th grade mission trip. We get an email update every day but other then that we haven't talked to him at all this week! The trip is stretching him I just know it! They are sleeping at a church and it sounds like sleeping conditions are rough. They make tons of beds and work in a mission homeless shelter some of the time. They serve, serve, serve. I cannot wait to ask him about his trip! He returns home tomorrow.

Last week was warm... This week is cold.

We loved and took advantage of the warmth while it was here! All the landscape got a good feed and the edge trimming process got started. I love working outside in the Spring but it can get overwhelming when everything needs done at once... It was great to get a little done in February already!

Justin and Eva are still in Florida. One more week till they return. It seems really long already! My mom and dad are enjoying them living in with them and Allen and Lynn are there to. It sounds like they are having perfect weather and having lots of fun! I asked a few of them for some pictures to add here but I didn't get any worth recording so far. If they send me some I'll add them here...

...:)

 .
Dave leaves for Dallas for more syndication education tomorrow... He is starting to become the speaker at times and it has been great to see him growing in many areas as he continues to educate himself! He loves every minute of it most days. Traveling is something he enjoys. Meeting new people is something he enjoys. He loves and enjoys talking about all he has learned to anybody that will enjoy listening. He loves to help educate others. I think its safe to say this is "his thing"...:) After his Dallas trip comes a Florida and Kansas trip for more speaking and education... March is busy for this boy!...:) We briefly discussed the "Summit at Sea" but I'm secretly hopeful he will skip this one...:}

Today was lunch duty day with Javon's class. Ada was here to clean. My sisters were together so I stopped in to catch up with them at Marilyn's. Four of us available ones made it to the chiropractor this evening. Justin's chiropractor paper work has been waiting for us to go over and I finally picked it up tonight. His food test shows great! Jordan's food test was mostly in the red back when we did it and it was beyond overwhelming!! Justin's looks way more doable!...:)

Ada is moving! Moving past our "Biggest Blessing Ever... In That Season Of Our Life" (Rachel Ann) was rough! Rachel Ann did our house cleaning here for years! She babysat and pretty much became a second mother to the kids! When she had two kids of her own she decided it was time to stay at home with them. I didn't blame her at all. We found a new cleaner (Martha). She was great but she got pregnant soon after settling in to clean here every other week. She was so gracious and trained in her sister Ada who took over for her. Martha is due to have her baby in a few weeks! Now Ada is moving out of state so soon after Martha has her baby and we once again look for another cleaner! If you like cleaning big houses contact me as I will be looking for a replacement!...:)

The winter has flown by!! It is March! We hope March brings warmth to come and stay! We like to see the last quarter of the school year approaching! It is a very busy last quarter but fun as we anticipate the summer months!

This week we feel independent. We are all scattered out. We are looking forward to all being back home together again! Two less big boys makes a huge difference in the laundry pile, the cooking, the grocery shopping, the morning work! Javon has moved into Jenika's room until Jordan returns...:)

Good-Night
