Can't believe myself but I walked out of the house without my camera yesterday! It was fine though. We had a good time with my family! We had a wonderful lunch and hung out into the evening, we had a supper there to! We got home around ten o'clock.
Dave and I made it around the block Christmas morning in almost an hour. I forget how tiring this is! It's walking/running (popcorn in Dave's hand) in and out of driveways (some long) I think it's all the stopping and going that gets me more then anything. Because we are not setting out for a run I just wear something more cozy on my feet and suffer for it every time!! When we are half way around my feet are screaming and I wish I had just wore my vibrams!
It's so much fun to greet the neighbors on Christmas morning! Some are eating breakfast, some still in PJ's, some playing with gifts, some all sleepy eyed! Everyone HAPPY... the smells that meet us at the doors are amazing as they are preparing food for the day ahead!!
Our kids are fine here while we are out but we did decide to do a shorter route next year so we can be here enjoying a lazy morning with them like most of the homes we greet.
The kids are used to us going on a morning run so they are fine. They were having fun with "Hamster" while we were out. As soon as we got back it was preparing food here, showering and dressing up for our day at Dads.
I was in the middle of my shower, shampoo soaking, shaving cream running when my water STOPPED!! I called down to Dave to check the breakers and the water hydrants and see whats going on??? He came up with nothing so I was thinking how to make the best out of this as I was dressing my Little's in my bath towel. I ran downstairs with Dave was on my tail to help. I discovered the basement toilet was running through! I shut it off and soon we had water again! I thought the water seemed to be coming more slowly this past week!! I have a feeling it happened when I had Jordan's class home Thursday!
We had a great lunch, chatted alot, had some belly laughs! The boys played football and enjoyed "Uncle Allen" to the fullest! We couples played a few WILD/LOUD games of "dutch blitz". Allen and Justin joined as a team for the last game and it made it more fun!! Love family time!!
Here are a few pictures I got with Dave's phone...
We gave my Dad's a picture book from the grandchildren. It was mostly pictures of them. They had fun looking at that! We gave them a nice size rug from us and they gave us each something. This year us girls got stir fry pans. Dave got a ham, the boys got neat LED desk lamps and Jen got a cupcake decorator thing. They each got a gift from the name pick to, they got neat stuff that they are having fun with today!
We pulled in the drive last night and as we were driving in all of the sudden a vehicle turned it's lights on. It was parked just outside the wood line in the dark?? Dave of course loves adventure and pulls right up and blocks them from leaving. The jeep thing had four guys in it. He walks right up to the drivers window and asks them whats up?? (fearless he is:/) They said they are just "hanging out"
and don't have anything to do!
We have been having trouble in our neighborhood with a jeep of this description taking things from peoples sheds, porches and stuff! The cops caught a lone robber near here last week that would stop in and knock on the door, see if someones home and if not would also load up his car with things that did not belong to him! I think these are two separate cases but it's annoying!:(
I told Dave he should have offered them our leftover cookie tins! He told them to wait and then he went back and took a picture of there licence plate! I was just waiting for them to whip it into the field to get around the way Dave had parked the van right in front of them!
Anyway it was a fun filled meaningful day!! Grandma Beiler came to visit with us for a few hours at Dads to. She is starting with Alzheimer's and it's sad!! She forgets everything and as she tried to stay after the conversation it got overwhelming to her, she would often asks the same questions over and over!!

We are off to get our gym membership up and running again!! We are leaving soon to work off holiday calories then we have a Chiropractor right after that. Somehow we will need to coordinate these two to make them work together. They are only a few miles from each other so we will try to get it all done at the same time.
