More Cabin Fun...

Jordan's question to me last night... "Mom, When are you going to blog again?"!

We have been so thankful for our warm cozy house the past few days!! It has gotten bitter cold!! Yesterday was a cold rain all day now today it's an extremely cold wind. I like these windy days here because it picks up all the leaves that are laying around and just carries them off!...:)

We are done with archery hunting for another season. My guys had fun hunting but the cold temps made it a bit harder to get out before daybreak in the mornings! Jordan was the only one that shot anything out of about seven or eight hunters! He shot a doe on the last evening hunt. It was a thrill for him to shoot and see her drop on the spot! With a bow and arrow this must have been a perfect shot!! Way to go Jordan! More meat for the can shelves! We got thirty five quarts of cubes out of Dave's deer from last week-end! I love to see the boys hunting and helping supply our meat!..:)

Thursday-Sunday at the cabin was a real treat! So fun to just relax and be with family! Reading, napping, eating, games, running the mountain trails are all part of our cabin getaways! I got out for a short run Friday evening while the guys were hunting then I did an eight miler on Saturday morning. It was cold but the wind had died and it was pleasant going after the first mile..:) (We missed the first few inches of snow around home over the week-end!)

The roads here at the new location are much better for running then at the old cabin. I like to run close to houses and more action when I'm running alone and we don't need to get to far off this new property before we have this. Dave likes the trails so we do the trail runs together, usually on Sunday mornings. We got a few miles in before church time.

My Saturday morning run...

We have adopted a mountain church up here close to the cabin! We love attending this church, they make us feel so welcome!! Real People with a heart for God. The messages are real to, the plan of salvation is preached then an invitation is given. We heard a lot about the life of the Psalmist David on Sunday. We missed our home church but it's always great to worship with new folks.

We had our farmer friends up to join us on Saturday evening for a wonderful meal that mom made, along with Jonathan's yummy streaks off the green egg grill!!  BLESSED!!

Here are some pictures I captured at the cabin...

They made a small campfire to keep warm!! They spent a lot of time outside despite the cold temps! The campfire was the "Hot Spot" and Sasha so enjoyed all the attention and food scraps all week-end long!! She had a cozy place to sleep in the basement with Justin and Mike!...:)

Mikey, Justin and Jordan heading out for an evening hunt...
Justin so enjoyed Mikey on this trip! He is outnumbered on both side of the family with not having cousins his age. (Minus Joey in Africa) They stayed up late and had a great time!

My Love is on the phone a lot. He has some weeks that are better then others but his phone is never far from his reach! He is getting prepared for another Belize presentation on Thursday. One in the morning and one in the evening. This always bring about more stress/busyness and phone time to!! I try to be patient and I know it will get better.

If you want to know what is happening in Belize and why we love it so much come on out to one of the presentations. John Turley "King of Real Estate on the island of Ambergris Caye" will be doing these presentations. One Thursday morning at the Lancaster Country Club and one at Shady Maple in the evening. Here is a link to get you in...:)  http://therealassetinvestor.com/pdf/belize-cashflow-dinner-and-presentation-shady-maple-november-20.pdf?utm_source=MBV+poten...

More pictures... And yes he is on the phone again!...:) These guys are enjoying the view and sunshine on the porch between hunts. The cold weather had these guys totally whooped by evenings!!

Javon and Hannah so enjoy each other in this stage!...

Game room is another hot spot!! This is a great side room that gets used a lot!! It was an add on and I can tell we will love this room!... Jonathan did an amazing job at getting this cabin designed and coordinated!...

Baby Marissa was eating a lady bug!! She is just the sweetest thing ever!! I see a bit of my Jordan in this picture!! Zook babies are so CUTE!!

I love to watch her grow... She is shy and smiley and just loves her momma!! She is starting to open up to me a wee bit more... It takes her kids awhile to like Aunt Suz's house though, but now I just silently grin as Bryant cries and throws a fit when it's time to leave Aunt Suz's house!...:) It's great having them next door!..:)

We are already looking forward to rifle season in a few weeks... I will probably be joining my guys again this year!...:)

I want to get my Christmas cards ordered yet. Javon and I were doing puzzles awhile this morning and he needs me to entertain him when he is here alone. I want to enjoy him and I do but I can tell he gets so bored and he would do well in school everyday. He misses his siblings when they are gone!

We plan to go get things to fill the kids shoe box Christmas projects for school later. They always enjoy this but it can be a challenge with Jenika!! She wants to get way more for her girl child then will fit in the shoe box and she wants what she wants and often it's not even really practical for kids in other countries! Might want to pray for me...:) I considered going without her but I think we can make it a learning experience...:)

Stay Warm!!
