The few weeks we were here have flown by! This week we think about heading back to the cold. It's all good and we will be ready for our routine back. It has been so much fun to spend time in Belize again this winter! The project here has grown and it continues to do so at a high rate of speed!
We will soon be opening up the village to the public and the demand has already been high! We hope to come to Belize for many more winters and in the future it will be ready to house people looking for a great place to vacation! Even if we always stay in an unfinished cottage on another street we will always be happy to return to Mahogany Bay Village!
Today we woke up to a cloudy day. Rain was pouring down when we were ready to go out for our run. It was the first time rain kept us inside! Now the rain has moved out and the clouds are hanging around but it looks like they will be moving on out of here real soon!
Jonathan and Marilyn are here with their family. John, Marian and Chris are here to. Jordan has been having a blast connecting with Chris. They did not know each other before but they are the same age and they both LOVE to fish! Chris has been sleeping in our cottage with Jordan because John's only have a small garden cottage. Jordan is loving it!
Today the kids are back in school. They did not have as much work this week and Ally has been doing great with keeping them on schedule!
Jordan is going out fishing this afternoon with Jonathan, Ashley, John and Chris. He cannot wait! Tomorrow Tony is booked to take the whole crew on the snorkel/lobster experience. I'm not sure if we will all go. It is valentines and Dave and I have a date night planned. This is just the best place to be for valentine dates! The food is AMAZING and we have so many yummy places to choose from!
I'm cooking some. We do breakfast at the house and I filled the crock pot a few times. The Taco Shack makes things handy but one can only eat burritos and fry jacks for so long!...:)
The sky here... It is always so beautiful! Jordan takes pictures often and then he send them to me. He is often on the beach at sunrise and then we get the sunset nicely from the village here!...
Yesterday we did church out on the pool deck. The whole crew of us met and listened to a live message online. It was a message live from Bethesda by Ron Yoder titled "Our Passion". It was fun to do church and then jump into the pool afterward!...:)
The kids are so enjoying cousin time!! After having them near me all the time the last few weeks it feels strange to have them off with others most of the day!
We took the crew to the Truck Stop for corn hole yesterday afternoon. It was a blast and our teams gave them a real competition! The crowd was large and it got loud as everyone whooped and hollered as the games got real competitive! John and Chris killed it and it was a BLAST to be a part of this day!!
Before yesterday only twice in the history of the corn hole tournament at the Truck Stop did they have someone win the game by throwing four corn holes in a row! Yesterday Chris did the four in a row thing in the first round giving them the game to move into the next level. In the next level John went and threw the four in a row moving them to the finals where they won the whole thing!! It was so fun for them!!

We stopped for fruit on the way to the Truck Stop... It is truly the best here and often already cut up and ready to eat. For cheap! Now that we have guests here we are on the cart alone...:) Jordan goes with Chris, Jen goes with the girls cart and Javon goes with Bryant and Hannah.... What happened to our full cart of kids we have been hauling around all these days!?...:)
After the tournament was over the pride got in the way. Some teams wanted to take on John and Chris again! So they organized it all over... This time Dave and John went together and won...:)
It was dusk by the time we left the Truck Stop yesterday... The kids all came back to jump in the MBV pool for awhile yet. We all ended up at Jonathan's cottage just chatting until late in the night!
Time is off here and I can't believe how little I look at a clock!
Dave is still busy and his office is on the Great House porch next to the pool. He spends many hours behind his computer here and on the phone. It is nice that he can continue to work even from here all the while doing work for the project here. He is anticipating his field trip group coming this week. They begin to arrive tomorrow and the field trip starts on Wednesday evening. It will be a very busy last week here for Dave! The kids and I leave Friday and Dave's schedule is packed here from Friday-Monday!
We will miss this place!! We cannot wait to see this place start to get busy and grow some more!
Today has cloud cover now but every other day has mostly been like this!... This weather is beyond BLISSFUL!! It is the best time of the year to be here and we feel so very BLESSED to be here again this winter!!
