My Walk Up The Beach / New Construction / MBV Pool...

Town is about a mile and a half from us. We like to run down the road then walk up the beach. We do it often. The beach walk has always been so lovely.

The hurricane in September sheered many of the docks on the beach side of the island. Some building of docks and buildings on the docks were being constructed when we were here last year and by now I'm sure they were hoping to have the construction complete but the hurricane has many starting the whole process over and even building mostly new docks.

Many are already fixed but still many are waiting to get attention. Here is some building and some rebuilding that I caught taking place on my walk up the beach on this oh so lovely day!!

This is front street in town. Golf Carts and bikes are the main means of transportation. I love going out with the golf cart! Even going to church and date nights are done on golf carts!...:)

This is next to Blue Water Grill... It looks like something interesting coming up!

Dock wiped away... Slowly being rebuilt...

Romon's Village has many buildings on their dock... They are reconstructing!

School...
 Another sheered dock...

This place is still special... It is the first place we stayed when we brought the family... Three years ago...

Heart shaped foliage... So neat to see in this "heart" month of February...

We are enjoying the Great House for school and the pool here is lovely! The pool is new since last year and it has added a ton of fun for us. It is quiet and we mostly have had it to ourselves as construction is still going on around us.

The pool bar is set to open in a few weeks so we see much going on around us as everyone prepares to open up and offer food and drinks to guests.

Today is so very warm again! We are enjoying the beautiful weather and the resort here very much! Dave is anticipating his group coming down next week and it is pretty much preparation mode everywhere you look! Housekeeping is busy, Construction is taking place around us and as we hear the noise of skill saws, drills and men working we can't help but wonder what the sounds will be like in just a bit when the resort opens up and things go into full swing guest accommodations! We will hear different sounds I'm sure! We will always remember the grounds here before building started! It has been such a fun journey to watch and be a part of this beautiful, fun, happening little village of Mahogany Bay!

Tomorrow is market day! The locals love this place as well as the guests as they are all welcome in here as well which is unusual for down here. Most times the resorts are built and gated and only registered guests are allowed in. Here it is different and the locals are loving it already!

I will be back with more pictures of "Market Day" and we also are looking for some Lancaster County folks today! The kids and I have one more week here. Time has flown by! We will be ready to get back home to Justin. He made it home to the house around 1:00 AM this morning. He said all flights went well and he is happy to be home.

Blessings from sunny very warm Belize today....
