Last Belize Days & First Day Back HOME!!

We are HOME!!

It feels so good to be back!

We feel so BLESSED to have returned to a beautiful warm "springlike" day!

The last few days in Belize were so very beautiful and so very warm! The breeze had left us for a bit and the heat was scorching! By the time we left the wind had picked up again making it more comfortable. We cooled off in water and ate those yummy juice pops! I thought this comparison was great... The one in Belize just a few days ago and the other one here today!

The tans are adorable on these kiddos! They spent hours outdoors today!

Our last few days in Belize flew by so fast! We went to the market and the kids spent all the Belize dollars they had left. They each took there own cash stash along this year and it was great as they spent there own money at the Rum & Bean and anything else extra they normally beg for...:)

Because the winds died down a bit we were finally able to paddle board. The Little's did this a lot last year and saw so many cool creatures under water but this year when we tried to board the wind just carried them down stream and no matter how hard they paddled they just couldn't make the board go where they wanted it to... They love time spent together and I'm so thankful!!

One of the last mornings here I told Jordan if he holds off eating breakfast until his school is done I'll take him to Coconut Café for a monster burrito and some of the best key lime pie on the island! This was our view and table...:) Justin and I did it one morning to when he was down. We think stopping just for a piece of pie and a coffee is worth it every time!

Some pictures off of the upper Great House deck... All this was new to us this year!! Makes me wonder what will all happen before we return again! Things happen so fast and it had a whole new busy feel to it this year as many of the finished units were occupied with owners or friends of owners staying as guests! Housekeeping had lots of practice as they served the guests daily!

This large Great House turned out so beautiful and it will be the cornerstone of this property! Lots is starting to take shape inside this massive building!

The new pool... The kids club pool will be built soon and it will be worth all the wait!

I could just see these photos packed with resort guests in the future!! As for today it was still very quiet with mostly the sounds of workers busily getting things to the "complete" stages!

Cousin time here was at it's best!! These kids spent hours and hours together under the hot sun!

The last day on the boat the girls came up with this small black starfish! Tony (the boat captain) said he never in all his years saw a black star fish (the top is black but the picture shows his underside) so he saved it and it made its way into the Tropic airport aquarium! Now maybe we can see him again!

Dave and his field trip crew of twenty guys heading out on the water the other day to do a tour of different resorts and looking at some property from the water... They were out most of the day!

We started our journey home... We got a taxi to the airport and all flights went so good! We were traveling without daddies so it was a bit stretching for Marilyn and I but things went well and I have come to the conclusion that I can be way to paranoid some days...:) It just feels better to have our rock/leader guy at my side when tackling airports and kids! #icandothis!

The growing project from the air! Lots got done but still lots to do and some real great opportunity still lies here on the island of Ambergris Caye Belize!! It is not to late to join in on this exciting venture!
Airport entertainment at its best! We had a three hour layover but it went real fast and we would much rather have it this way then rushing to the gate!

We weary travelers made it in this morning at one thirty AM and it was two thirty by the time I got to bed but it felt amazing to be home again!

Today the temps!! It felt amazing and I even soaked up some sun on my face off of the back porch today!

Justin and Eva seem happy to have us home and they spent lots of time with the kids today hitting balls and playing football!

What a perfect day to return to! Windows were open today! I hope it lasts!:)

The bags all got unpacked right away this morning in about an hour! The grocery shopping was done and I never take the grocery stores for granted here! Belize food is AMAZING but I can't wait to start spending time in my kitchen again and get back to a better diet with less carbs and less late night treats...:)

Today Dave took his crew snorkeling! I'm sure it was interesting with so many people!

The last few days here will be packed as Dave wraps up this packed out six day educational field trip! This is the best way to find out about the island and the MBV project! All the questions anybody ever has get answered on these educational field trips. One field trip normally goes for three days but Dave combined two this time making it a packed out six days! We miss him and can't wait to have him here with us!

We LOVED our time away and we hope to return again but for today we are happy to be home. We are thinking about our back to school routine next week and we will have lots going on once again... Belize time is different then Lancaster County time and I'll be back to glancing at the clock way more often again! Time just seems to matter more here no matter how hard we try to slow down the pace...:) Oh well we take it in stride and enjoy the journey no matter the pace...:)

Good-Night
