The vegetation is filling out.
We have a family cottage way up at almost the end of the street where the construction is still going on. We are still waiting on a frying pan so we can cook our own breakfast. We don't have shower curtains, blinds or screens yet. We do not have much in our kitchen at all but we are making out fine. I'm thankful for the few kitchen items that I did bring like knives, rags, baggies and some other small odds I remembered that I wanted from last year.
The kids are doing school upstairs in the "Great House"! It is beautiful up there. It won't be long before this great big beautiful house will be hopping with activity but for now it is still quiet with only a few workers around. We get to enjoy it first before all the hustle and busual arrive!...:)
| Yup we got windows open and bare feet to do school!! We absolutely love this tropical climate!! Jordan lost his four week old cough a few days after we got here!... Yay!! |
The pool is done but is so quiet. We do enjoy time here but it never lasts to long. We move around a lot...:)

Lounging in the house after dark... Justin was battling a sore throat and slight fever the first day or so here. He had a pounding headache and slept a lot. We are thankful he is feeling better! Dave hangs with him every morning while the other kids do school. They do book studies and a workout on the pool deck. After school is done we all swim and today we went out on the boat with Tony. I have lots of pictures that I hope to get on here tomorrow. The new beach club is going to be so beautiful and we spent a few hours there today while Tony's guys were cooking up our catch.
This evening we went out with Wayne and Dawn (investors from Kansas) for dessert. Jenika was the lucky one to join us since things don't go so well for her when she stays back with her three brothers...:} After she had hot chocolate, a piece of chocolate covered caramel and a scoop of coffee ice cream she thought she was the most blessed girl on the island!...:) We are all very tired by the time our heads hit pillows!
We already have golden tans. We already feel at home here. We studied for the school tests coming up tomorrow. We do lots of night time reading here. It can be tough to stay on a school schedule but we are thankful for Ally (our teacher) and if we work at it it can be done all the while enjoying the beautiful outdoor adventures here in Belize.
Good Night from Belize... I hope to return tomorrow with our lobster diving day...
