Goals Retreat... "Our Dash"

Goals Retreat in San Diego...

 

After three days of intense classes indoors my mind is full and over flowing! With great stuff!! I have found this trip to be so amazing! It's sure to change my course of life from this week-end forward. It was just that impactful!

Today while Dave has his mentoring group meet up I get this... Just ONE DAY of this pure BLISS!

Today is actually the first real sunny day. It was chilly and cloudy on the class room days and that was fine with me since we were indoors so much anyway...:)

The three days of reflecting on GOALS was powerful! I have tons of notes that I'm going to use and try to apply to my life everyday.

"Time" was a huge topic! The value of it! We have a "dash" (-) between the time we were born until the day we die. What are we going to do with that "Dash"? Everyday is a gift between that "Dash". It is a God given gift and we can do anything we set our minds to doing with it! Moving forward we can design that "Dash".

A few notes from the past few days...

"Sometimes we have to say NO to the GOOD to say YES to the GREAT!

What's inside of me that needs to come out to not only benefit me but those around me?


"You have two primary choices in life: to accept conditions as they are or accept the responsibility for changing them"

"You can't change your destiny overnight but you can change your direction."

Because life is long we tend to push things off. But life really is short!! Do things today!!

"Great teachers are Great Students!"

"Don't make lists of goals that we can do nothing about! Don't waist time or energy on complaining about the things we cannot change."

Never say "I can't afford it" Always say... "How can I afford it?"

Fly on the Windowsill...
The fly smashes into the window over and over again trying to get to freedom. Just a few feet over from the window is an open door to freedom. How long until we stop the circle of sameness? Eventually the fly will die on that windowsill. Is that how we are?? What is our true God given potential?

"By celebrating what's right we find the energy to fix what's wrong."

I have so many great notes! I'm sure I'll be sharing more from time to time as I learn to apply them to life's journey.
