My Whistle Blew...YAY!!

MY "END OF THE DAY" WHISTLE BLEW...YAY

This evening as we were leaving Jordan's basketball game Lori made a comment to me... As we stood up to leave the whistles were blowing in the gym as the girl's started their basketball game... She said "Now you can blow the whistle on your day"! YES!! I'm happy to blow my end of the day whistle on days like today!

This morning as my alarm clock "whistled" on my phone my thoughts started to go from zero to one hundred in a matter of seconds! This was going to be one of those "mom days" that were going to take ALL I got and more!!

We made it!! My whistle blew and the kids are asleep in their beds! Javon got a pack of whistle balloons at the store today. I have had whistles blowing in my ear all day so I thought the title was fitting for this day...:) Every time I buy ballons I declare never again! Is there anything more annoying!??...:)

My early morning thoughts went like this... I'm going to Ladies Bible study. I'm taking mom and sisters with me so I hate to cancel out and if I'm going to cut something out of my day to lighten my load why would it need to be Bible Study?!! I really needed this today! Jenika needs to see a doctor today! My house is still dirty from the Saturday night party. It needs my attention bad. Jordan needs a white shirt for twin day today. (for some reason white must not be our color and I was racking my brain where we were going to find one.) I need to pack four lunches. (What am I going to put in them!?)  I need to make four dozen of cookies and bars for Justin's Hot lunch tomorrow at Faith High. I need to grocery shop for these ingredients.  I have Parent Teacher Conference with Jen's teacher at the same time that I need to have Jordan at basketball and also pick up Javon at Ty's birthday party. Jordan also needs to go to Walmart today for two bags of candy and an outfit for character day tomorrow! On and on went my thoughts...:)

I made it to the kitchen to pack lunches. Soup and sandwiches.  I took a walk to the chicken coop for eggs for breakfast since the egg boxes were empty in the house. Eggs are partly frozen. It's okay we ate them anyway...:) The kids meet me in the kitchen with sleepy eyes that beg for longer rest time! Javon is complaining that his throat hurts and he was coughing and snotting. Oh Boy, Today!? Really? Okay lay on the couch with blankets I'll be in with the oils. Jordan had to settle for a gray shirt for twin day. I took the big boys to the bus then got Jenika ready. Her sore spot in her head takes care while doing hair. It is better but we discovered a lump on her neck that was rather large! Doctor appointment was made for one forty five today. Rubbed Javon and he rode along to take Jen to school and for groceries. We ran the sweeper and tidied the house a bit.

As I was gathering baking supplies at the grocery store for my cookies and bars I stopped and wondered "when will I have time to make these baked goods today!??" The bakery was baking already and it smelled so yummy, I walked over to the counter, cringed a bit, but then ordered the baked goods to be picked up tomorrow morning! Not my style but it's what needed to be done today. Cookies and bars are just harder to make these days here. (the less you do it the harder it comes)

Ladies Bible study went well with some great worship songs to start off the session. I was so glad I didn't cut this out. Javon went along. He had a slight cough and some snot but I think he could have went to school. We got Jenika at school. Had lunch then went to see her Doctor. Doc said her lump is her lymphs swelling to fight off the infection thingy on her head. He mentioned ringworm or fungus!?? So gross! He said her body is doing it's job so I'm no longer paranoid about the lump on her neck. He wants me to see a Dermatologist for a biopsy and be on oral medication for up to three months to rid her of the fungus. I did schedule the appointment but I asked for two weeks to see if we can take care of it on our own before that. It's already much better then it was last week even though it is still oozing some. For now we take care to wash her hair with gentle soap after we do a vinegar soak. Then we drop on Frankincense oil. I hope this takes care of it but I also have a feeling it has to do with her parasite cleanse she is on so it's probably working it's way out!? I'm learning as I go here.

We came home to fold two loads of laundry before the boys got home. I took Javon to Ty's party so he didn't need to miss out since he seemed fine other then his few sniffles. We got Jordan's candy but his character outfit will just be his hunting outfit...:) I think he is an adorable hunter and he plans to take his grunt call for his prop so that took care of the Walmart trip. (which could have been a challenge since he had no idea what for character he wanted to be!) He is a natural hunter so the outfit will fit him well...:)

Jordan made supper. It totally hit the spot on top of greens and avocado! He can make the best one pot dishes!! Thanks Jordan!! The hot supper on this frigid, damp day gave me a boost to again go out on the road to finish out the day...;)

Jenika's teacher called off the PTC because of the icy roads. Again a God thing because Jordan needed to be at basketball! We crept slowly to school for the game since the roads were so icy! I had to drive on the grass going out the driveway or I had no control behind my wheel! Javon was still at Ty's. (Thanks Linda for bringing him along home!) He enjoyed his boy time so much!! Happy Birthday Tyrell!!

The kids got hot baths and oil rubs before bed. I wearily went to get my shower at nine thirty PM and here I sit. Tired but still so Blessed!! Oh yea I forgot to mention that my husband is in Belize! Dave is somewhere warm and sunny!! My favorite place at that!! It's a Belize field trip. He took a group of ten people including his three brothers! It sounds like a blast to me but he calls it WORK! Funny I think..:) If you want to learn more on what goes on in Belize there are always field trip being scheduled. Worth it to go! He will be back later in the week. Enjoy me some sun Hon!!

As I read over this post for preview I can't help but pick out all the many blessings!! We have a Doctor that would see us today. We have essential oils. We have great schools. We have friends that plan fun birthday parties for little kids. We have a great group of ladies that gather for Bible Studies that take prayer requests and they prayed for Jenika's lump today. We have a washer and dryer to clean our clothes on these cold damp days. We have food to put in lunches. And our wonderful "Jordan friendly" hot supper that he made!

Life is grand... Busy stage and one I want to remember and record but I do love it. Not every day is like this one and I wouldn't trade what I do for anything else. Life does not always go the way we plan or the way we would like it to. We have days where we just need to grind it out. If we look back on those days we can always find blessings that were there. Things work out in God's time. We can be in a tizzy about "how will I make it through this day?" but our wonderful savior is faithful to see us to the end. He will be faithful to complete a good work in us all the way to the end of our days. Let's trust him and lean on him on the days when it seems like that "End of the Day Whistle" will never blow.

I think I hear that bed time whistle blowing... Have a BLESSED night! Now if we'd only wake up to the call that says..."We have a two hour delay this morning" I think I'd be right back on track...:)
