A Lovely Saturday!!

Today is lovely!! These two picked up an extra cousin on the pony ride this morning...:)

Alan was here for a bit and it was perfect timing to hop a ride..:)

The rain cooled things off once again and now this morning it is seasonal once again with chilly temps, perfect blue skies and lovely sunshine!

A four mile run was the perfect way to start this Saturday!! I see some weird stuff when I'm running... Like these buzzards sunning themselves all in the same position on Shorty's house roof!!... What is with the spread wings!? Maybe drying them?! Weird.

Running is something that became a part of our lifestyle here about five years ago. I fell in love with it! Not right away. It took time to actually say I love it! It took hard work and still does! It was a love/hate process and still is...:) It has done things for my body and for my health that still amazes me to this day. I just ran and good things happened. I just ran and I wanted to eat better. I just ran and haven't even considered a "diet" ever since! I will never look at the word "diet" the same again! I did all the sea-saw diets out there back in the day and believe me running is way more fun! I eat more then ever!!

Running brings a feeling of freedom. It brings clarity to my mind when I feel foggy. Treadmill running is not something we appreciate and we don't ever do it anymore! We appreciate the outdoors like never before even in the hot and cold months. I think getting fresh air in our lungs has become a necessity...:) We truly are blessed with great roads for running and lots of wide open spaces to get that fresh air fix...:) I started to walk more though. Just recently. I like running but I appreciate walking more then I used to so I do both... Maybe I'm getting old or maybe I just have more time now that the children are older, either way this time of the year just brings a whole new meaning to running and being outdoors!! The colors! The smells and sights are just addicting and oh so lovely!

If you don't think you like running... Try it anyway. Stick with it. Longer then you want to. Just about when you think you can't go any longer just do anyway. Every time. Force it if you have to. Let me tell you from experience... it really does take dedication and tears for what seems like to long but once you can say "I like what this is doing for me"... It's then that you are hooked and by now it's in your blood. You will be forever changed...:) This is my running story. Now my family knows it's just something that we do here. Mom runs. They make there own breakfast more then not in the summertime. They don't even have to guess where I am if  I'm missing when they wake up. I like mornings best. Everything is fresh and I have a new energy. I listened to stuff. Music is my favorite but at times I switch it up I had this come up on my phone on my run the other morning... Listen to how powerful this God that we serve really is!!! This was enough for me to stop and stand in amazement at the God that I serve!...

Click on  this link and tell me it don't make the hair on the back of your neck stand up! Wow!!

Do we all run? Dave and I do. The children can run to if they want to. Justin runs often. Jordan doesn't. I wish he would. Jenika don't run either, SHE IS TO BUSY...:)  Javon runs. He is good at it and I see it becoming a part of him as he grows! He loves it. He can just go and go. He has the form. He has the speed. It really is fun to watch him run.

Dave is in Arizona. He has an SMC (syndication mentoring club) meet up. He will be back in time to make it to communion at church tomorrow morning.! He is three hours behind us here so he will be sleep deprived for awhile. His health. It suffers when he travels...:) He has a busy fall season with his travels. We enjoyed his long travel break this summer!...:) We are looking forward to our winter in Belize!! We are starting to think about it more as the time comes closer!

I purchased three tickets to see "War Room" in theaters this evening. I have mom watching the little ones. I planned to take the big boys out for a date. I had the details worked out. I must have forgotten they are now big and have an opinion of there own. Justin didn't act into it and Jordan wanted to hunt the evening hunt...:/ I have the tickets... Hello!?
Jordan casually said "Just take your sisters"... Great Idea.! I called them. They said "yes" so I have a sissy date planned now! I guess nights out with the big boys will be approached differently from now on. Another life season that I'm getting used to. Life with teens is great. It's just different and I am sometimes caught off guard.

Jordan missed a buck last night. He didn't think it was a good shot when he shot and it was pretty far away. He loves hunting even if he doesn't get a shot. He most times sees deer right now. This has him excited to get to the cabin! We hope to go next week! We have the last half of the week off of school next week for Teachers Service so we hope to make use of it and slip to the cabin for a few days.

Kombucha Tea is being bottled and brewed here again today. If you want to try it contact me. I have starters to if you want to try brewing it yourself. I just started with all fresh ones so we are in high brewing gear once again. I will teach you how it's done. Research the benefits. They are more then I can list.

I'm off to get my Saturday housework done. Enjoy a lovely fall weekend! We are so BLESSED!!
