Happy Birthday Jenika!!

                     
   Happy Birthday to our Princess Jenika!... She turned nine today!

I had so much fun doing her ninth birthday photo shoot!! The one on one time was a blast as always! We did her pictures out on the road after school. We took a plate of warm cookies with us and delivered them to a door in Atglen... We wanted to use her barn as a back drop..:) Then we went to the park to finish up! I got tons of pictures of our beautiful nine year old that we will cherish forever.

Jenika loves to listen to the music really loud when driving in the car!...:) When it's just the two of us we jam and sing really really loud...:) Right now the favorite for us is "Hillsong... Cornerstone"...:)

 I love you so much Jenika!! You have turned nine so fast!

Thanks for letting me capture this stage in your life! You are a party for sure and many of my pictures you are making a crazy face or giggling!... You wanted to run and play in the park! You wanted to get dirty and play in the water! You wanted to climb the fences to the top! You are a princess that does not mind getting dirty to have a bit of fun! I love that about you!

Jenika has grown up so much in the past year! I have come to appreciate her around the house! She wakes up with me early in the morning to make the breakfast! She loves this alone time with me in the kitchen! She is awake almost a full hour before the boys come down and when she hears them coming sometimes she sighs and says "already!?" She has the breakfast hot when they come down and I love this because I can focus on the lunches while she does breakfast instead of multitasking so much!

Jenika is adjusting to school at Linville but she is at the stage where I know if I'd take her to Fairhaven or get out her backpack full of last years memories she would burst into tears! She still very much misses the small classroom and the simplicity that came with Fairhaven's school style! Her friends and her walk home were more of a part of her life that she loved more then I realized! She talks highly of the forth grade teacher at Linville so she says she is staying until fifth grade then she will go back to Fairhaven...:)

Her school work takes effort but she works hard and she is a much better reader then she was at the beginning of the term.

Spending time with her next door cousins and her pony is still her most favorite thing to do! She loves to snuggle on the couch with me in the evenings for reading and spelling word practice! Art and crafts have become a hobby! For this busy body this stage looked inviting to me at one time but now that it's here I can hardly believe that she is so calm so long!...:)

She has this cubby hole in the corner of her bedroom closet that the builder cut out for us for storage. (I guess he didn't know how little of a pack rat that I am!) She made use of the space just this week and set up an art tray in there. It's so far back and hidden that we have a hard time finding her at times! She also decided this is a great place to get away when her brothers tease her. Poor girl puts up with a lot around here some days! I tell her these boys will make one tough cookie out of her by the time she is all grown up!

I took lunch to her class today. twenty four students put down five pizzas in no time flat! I had cut up veggies and also served cupcakes. I had everything packed in the car except for the pizza and went to Ladies Bible Study before picking up the pizza. I rushed out to make it to school in time for lunch. We also delivered lunch to Javon in the first grade classroom. He was thrilled with pizza!


Happy Birthday Sweet Girl!!...

A prayer request went out at Ladies Bible Study for the Sensenig family! They lost their precious three year old daughter this week. She was almost four and riding the tractor with her daddy on there farm when the door latch gave and she slipped from the tractor so fast and the tractor drove over her small body, killing her instantly! She has two brothers that will so miss her!! I cannot even begin to imagine the pain this family will have in moving on in this journey of life without her! Please join in prayer for this family! Avah Zion... You are precious and Heaven is more beautiful with you there!!
