I try to get Dave out of his office chair for a run a few mornings a week. This week we ran every morning so far because it's just that perfect for running! What a refreshing way to start the day! I get the school children on the bus and boggie to the shop to pick Dave up then we go up the road to a lovely quiet road with a few ponds off to the side where the morning dew and steam rises off the water! It's just a lovely stretch of road that we have been enjoying for a while now.
I have winterized some more... I sure will miss the color in my back yard but it feels nice to have these loads of annuals pulled and thrown out... The frost sure flattened things out outback!.. Working outside is my most favorite job around the house!!
Today it's food prep... My guys love pumpkin pies!! I told them I will make eight more from now until winter since I made eight pie crusts and froze them. Dave said he wants a few ASAP...:) The rest will wait until the holidays approach...
The house smells heavenly today!...
I made some comfort food to... Sweet potatoes, celery, onions, garlic, seasonings cooked and then blended in the Vitamix... Yummy! It will be served with chicken taco salad for supper tonight.
Javon is reading!! He is really good!... I can hardly believe that my baby is reading!! More last time stuff with this kid.... My emotions are a bit mixed on all of his big boy stages going on...:)
Jenika is looking forward to her birthday next week!
The Belize tickets are booked!! We board the plane a few days after Christmas and the return ticket is scheduled for March!!! I can hardly wait to go back to Belize with the children!! We will have to find a routine that works with school work but I think they will learn more in Belize then they ever would at home all winter!! We are excited and ready to pack bags!!
I enjoyed doing pictures of Todd and Susie's boys yesterday! Baby Omar Jay is a week old and Christopher is enjoying having a baby brother to love on! Thanks Susie for letting me enjoy your little ones for a few hours... Baby just slept the whole time!!...:)
We are seeing deer around here. Jordan is hunting every evening. He sees deer often and we are just waiting for him to shoot one. He loves the action! Sometimes Mark sits with him and I have to wonder if they are quiet enough to hunt...:) My dad came over the other evening to sit in the tree stand with Jordan...:)
Kombucha!!... We have lots!...
I'm going to have to sell it soon! Let me know if you want some! We still drink it but it's not as hot out anymore and we don't drink as much plus it just makes more and more...:) Jordan is doing Kombucha as his science fair project and the more he learns about this healthy drink the more he thinks he is not drinking it!...:} I think he is the most important one that needs it here but he does not like it and he just can't seem to create a taste for it like Justin did. Maybe after his science project he will be drinking it..:) I'm trying to figure out if we will be able to make this drink in Belize this winter..;)
School kiddos are home... I'm off
Enjoy the lovely fall day!!
