I feel beyond BLESSED to live in such a beautiful place in this world!!
We just want to be outside these days enjoying the lovely surroundings!! The smells! The perfect temperature! The beauty to the eye!!
I stood in amazement at times yesterday as I hiked/walked/ran at our favorite local park! We are only minutes from this park and every time I go I declare we don't go often enough!
My school days spent childless are growing on me. I had the house cleaned yesterday, the laundry caught up and I got all set up for Jenika's evening birthday party... (I can get so much done in a day when here by myself!) I had about two hours before I needed to get the kids at school. I planned to pick them up because we needed to get Jordan's infusion in, in a hurry so he could go out to hunt! I forgot his infusion on Thursday and he wasn't about to remind me either!! (first time I forgot his Thursday infusion!)
I texted Dave and asked him if he has time to sneak out of his office chair to do a park run with me? He was to busy so I went anyway. It was worth it!
I want to go back and I now plan to take Danny's Christmas pictures there this afternoon! The sights were just so perfect!... I could hardly get enough and even all of the sudden I looked at my clock and realized I needed to get back to my car NOW if I want to get to school in time to pick up the kids... I was still out a ways! Lets just say I had really broke a sweat by the time I got to the car and I wasn't even late!
It was a great way to spend my time. I think I'm starting to kind of like this stage in life where I can actually feel "Caught Up" now and then!!... I do often leave the house a mess to get a run in, otherwise I'd not get it done, but I am starting to realize it's easier to stay caught after with the kids out of the house every weekday.
The pictures are nice but the smells and surroundings along with it are hard to beat!!...
Fall is lovely! If the winds would calm Dave and I would take a peak from the air in the parachute plane! I'm sure it would be lovely up there right now! Our chances are getting slim though as the temps drop and the winds pick up.
Jenika's party was fun! We had soft pretzels and chili. Marilyn made adorable cupcakes and we had pumpkin pie to! Being with family is always a good time! Jenika was thrilled with the box of art work from my mom and dad! She got a new outfit along with some high boots and she has been wearing them all day around here so far!...:) Along with her new scarf...:) (I'm pretty sure you will see her wearing them on her birthday pictures next week...:) Her birthday is on Tuesday and she is thrilled to be turning nine!
| This was a note she had stuck to my counter top before she went to school yesterday!...:) |
We have an Amish wedding next week! Edna Mae is getting married! She babysat a lot for us when we lived in Limeville! Dave will be away next week but I think I will brave it anyway!...:)
We are still winterizing this place!! Dave was my hero for getting in the messy cold water to clean out the fish pond! I was dreading it and was so happy when he said he would do it for me!... I kept reminding him to look up and see the lovely sunset over yonder!...
Hunting is Jordan's highlight! He checks the trail cameras around here daily! He sees deer every night while hunting but they don't come close enough. Dave keeps trying to patiently tell Jordan that deer have really good smellers and he just shakes his head when he sees Jordan's sneakers in his hunting lug or his doe decoy spending the night inside the car!...:) He is learning and maybe he will get lucky soon...:) We got twenty eight quarts of cubes out of the doe that Dave shot at the cabin! This is the handiest meat ever and it's lean and cheap! Can't beat it! I love having hunters here!!
Justin is enjoying more road time with shop crews these days! The shop is busy and scrambling right now! Justin loves to do on sight jobs and last night he didn't make it home until the guests were already leaving! He is blessed with great job opportunity! He is working towards earning money to buy his first vehicle...:)
Get out and enjoy the fresh Autumn air today!!
