We enjoyed a great Thanksgiving day! We spent most of the day at Kath's. She prepared some great foods and the side dishes came along with the rest of us to complete the amazing Thanksgiving feast!
Javon was still not feeling the greatest but he went along anyway. He had a good long nap on Kath's bed. After he broke out in nasty hives on Wednesday afternoon I took him out to Urgent Care to be seen. They did a strep test which came back positive so we picked up medication. The Doctor on call was amazed that Javon did not have more pain in his throat for the way it was looking!
After doing all the natural remedies we own for three days and he was still getting steadily worse we did give in to the medication. We will do Pro 5's and other immune builders to hopefully fight for his healthy immune system back. I want to do a saliva test in a few weeks to check for yeast but for now he is slowly on the mend with antibiotics. Strep throat can lead to other things so this was a huge test for me! Natural or Antibiotics!? I'm all about prevention but for some reason Javon has been really struggling this fall already despite all my efforts!? If it was myself I'd grind it out pumping the Thieves and "fire cider" but poor Javon hates the stuff and I can't get enough of those into him to give him the kick he needs to beat this naturally!
This was interesting to me because the Fire Cider that I make has almost all these ingredients in them!... Maybe you can use this info for wintertime sicknesses...
Thanks Smoky and Kath for opening up your home yesterday!!
We love quality family time and the food was amazing!! This spread looked so nice to!!
She wasn't sure what to make of this saddle!..:) She is used to bare back and I think the saddle made her feel unsafe..:)
Dirty jeans, and a football! It doesn't get much better then this!
This house got a whole new makeover and it turned out lovely!! This no longer looks like my old home place!
The temps are in the sixties today and I'm fighting them to keep something on there feet! We do enjoy this mild weather!! The cabin waits for us as we plan to spend the next four days up there. We hope to get some deer hunting done along with enjoying family and friends and also fun trail runs. We love the mountain church up there to! It's always an adventure to join in with my guys and hunt the Monday morning hunt!
We no longer have Internet access at the cabin so I'm not going to be able to post from up there this year. If anything to exciting happens maybe I'll have to take the laptop and tap in at the ice cream shop...:)
If you are hunting on Monday stay safe... If you are shopping... Well... Stay Sain...:)
Have a Safe and BLESSED Weekend!! We have so much to be THANKFUL for!!
