It was a fun day although it did not turn out the way we had anticipated. Kath called in sick last minute so we took her two oldest kids to her sitter anyway and brought baby Alan with us so she could rest it out! Baby had a fun day out with us and he did great! He had a few cat naps and didn't seem to mind to much that we were passing him back and forth the whole time as we took turns to carry him and we handed him over if we were the one holding him when we wanted to pay for something...:)
The neat little stands at the Central Market were so interesting to me! I need to go in there more. Everything looked so fresh and I didn't think the prices were to bad either. I didn't get to much stuff since we were carrying everything around but by the time it was all said and done we were so thankful for baby Alan's stroller to haul all of our stuff...:)
This was my highlight!! If you know me at all you know I'm crazy for oils, sauces and spices!! I love to create great tasting foods with these unique blends of spices and sauces! Especially the healthier versions...:)
We were definitely tourists in our own city today and we were loving it!... The place was a bit busy so the two hours there was plenty...:)
We ate lunch at the café one eight... I had a great tasting wrap and a latte.
We sat down for a break at one point and as we sat I got word on my phone that Kath was rushed to the hospital with the ambulance! Of course we could not relax to much after that but it was time to head towards the bus stop soon anyway so we prayed for her as we waited for our bus...
She went to quick care soon after we left her this morning since she was not feeling good at all, she had severe headache, fever and they sent her to the hospital right away. She spent most of the day there. Marilyn had her three kids all afternoon. We also stopped in at her house for a fe things for the kids and Marilyn and I scrambled for about ten minutes doing her morning work... The LOVE of a sister is priceless!.. We love you Kath!
Tests then showed mostly clear but she was low in potassium and iron. This is most likely where the headaches were coming from. She also has a breast infection. She was sent home but the hospital was very reluctant. They wanted her on IV through the night but she so badly wanted to come home so they signed the papers and were discharged.
I went to pick up the kiddos at Marilyn's this evening. They were all fresh and bathed (bless your heart Marilyn!) and Baby was at his witz end! He was so tired and needed his mommas milk! I took them to dad's where they planned to spend the night so Kath can get rested and we fought with baby for a bit trying to get him to sleep and give him the cow milk mom had (he refuses formula) My heart broke for him and I even got tears as I left there hearing him scream as mom was trying to make the best of this situation!
I stopped to see Kath on my way home and dropped her off some coconut water and her laundry that I had done. She was resting but looked very washed out. Smoky was taking good care of her. I went to pick up some natural product for her close by and when I got back Allen had brought baby Alan home! He was so happy to see his momma!! Mom was done fighting with him so I guess he will not be spending the night at grandmas with his siblings after all.
How do these baby's survive that get separated from there mother?? I had to think how heart breaking it would have been to just keep fighting with baby if his momma really could not care for him anymore??!! He looked at her and just wailed a few times yet, even though he was back in her arms, just simply because he was so heart broke that he was apart from her all day, he was just so happy to see her...?! It was great to see him calmed and nursing nicely when I left there tonight. Pray for a good nights sleep for all of them! Kath needs her rest so bad yet baby needs his momma!
Blessings Kath! We are so thankful that it wasn't something worse and you are back home again! Your children have stolen my heart today!
