Campfires Are Back!!

We have waited so long for this day!! A campfire!! We are so excited that we have said good bye to a really long winter! The grill and the campfire smells alone make me want to just sit and take it all in for a bit!...
The day was sunny and warm! The kids spent all day outdoors the past few days. The shop had an open house yesterday and the kids so enjoyed the time spent there with Zook cousins and the fun food and activities going on there. The sun tans are already back! I think they still had some Belize color and it didn't take long for Jenika to get her nice tan back...:) She also has poison ivy though..:(

Baseball is back and this big guy of mine is such a blast these days!...:)

Justin and Jordan also spend hours shooting hoops on the driveway right now to. They walk back and forth to school a few evenings a week to play on the school courts. They get great practice and love to be on the same team at school during Phys Ed.

Supper on the back porch... Made by our in house cook...:) (Jordan)

I'm telling you this kid has got the touch and we take advantage of it all the time! We can't wait to take him camping! His grill skills keep getting better and his food is so amazing!...:) He eats so well and yet I got him on the scale yesterday again and he is down three more pounds! That was two weeks though since we were out last weekend...:)

The end result... veggies, chicken and a few steaks for dad...:)

Today was our church council meeting. We have a day set aside like today to go through the old testament Bible times. It is a day that we take to examine our hearts in preparation of communion day that we have coming up. I love this special time with church family. The day is a bit longer but the kids still come along. I just made sure they all had a good breakfast so they not be starved by the time we got home.

H.K. touched on the "Blood Moons" we have coming up in the next full moon cycles and how they line up with God's prophecy. We were doing some research this afternoon here at home on it and it seems like God's people in the past "Blood Moons" have had really big happenings take place over the time of four "Blood Moons".

Jesus Crucifixion was one happening. The six day war was another one. Like four times in history. It was interesting to research yet a bit scary to... God has a purpose for us here no matter what is coming to this earth. May we stand strong to be used by him so he can fulfill his purpose in our lives.

We heard today about pottery and how it is formed from clay before it is then a beautiful master piece of art. The question was asked... Are we making our own piece of pottery or are we letting God make it for us...? We wonder... Do we give our soft clay that we have started to form on our own and give it to God to mush all up and start it over? Would we have it this good then?  Would we have it better? How different would it be for us if we totally surrendered and let God mold and shape our pottery? It goes back again to sacrifice of self. A hard one for us humans yet so important.

We serve a mighty God and even Moses feared and trembled when God spoke to the people from the mountain. We are afraid sometimes of what lies ahead yet God will carry us all the way to Heaven's gates if we trust him as the faith of a child. What many great promises we have in God's word to fall back on. How would we get through this life without Jesus and the sacrifice that he brought? He loved us so much and his promises are true and forever!...

I'm off to enjoy what's left of this evening around the campfire with those I love so much!...:)

We are celebrating with coffee, wine and a sweet bite... Hope you are having your own "Spring is here" celebration to!
