The house is so quiet!! I'm all alone. No drama for the next seven hours yet the quiet house feels so strange.
I have a busy day ahead but I will take a minute while the bread is baking. I got it started bright and early and it's already baking...
I picked a bucket of lovely looking green beans from the garden while I was out picking up my daily serving of greens...:)
I will so miss the garden once the cold season sets in!! It is such a blast to harvest such great fresh greens and tomatoes! The "Back to Eden" garden has a great word from me after only one summer! It's just the best!! Hardly any weeds even now after I lost interest and don't spend very much time down there anymore!
This is the base of my breakfast every single routine type day!... And also Jordan's meals!
This morning I grilled up mushrooms, asparagus and a few beef cubes in coconut oil, scrambled in an egg and threw it on top of these fresh greens. Some salsa or sauce and it's a great way to start the day! I just love breakfast!!:)
The start of the day is a large bottle (20 oz.) of warm water with fresh ginger root pieces, a squeezed lemon and two tablespoons or so of apple cider vinegar (with the mother in it...:}) This is starting to go down easier then it did back when I started this morning routine! I used to do only lemon but Dave got into the vinegar in the last month so I started adding it to my water along with some fresh ginger, this just floats in my water bottle the rest of the day then. The kids hardly ever touch "Mom's water bottle" anymore...:) They never know if they will get a mouthful of vinegar water!...:) It is a great energy booster for that afternoon slump! I do drink just water at times to but they never know so they started to get there own water to drink...:)
Today is yard work! It looks like it will be a hot one! I might get a fresh dose of vitamin D while I'm out there!
Jenika has been struggling with the heat at school. She seems to get a stomachache at lunch recess. I wonder if it's the fact that they eat lunch then go out and run in the heat.? Also she is used to a mid morning snack and at times it seems like she has some blood sugar problems? She took a snack today and with the teachers permission she will have that mid morning to see if it helps her feel better after eating her lunch. I plan to take her and Jordan a smoothie for dessert today and Dave is expecting a salad for lunch... I will be busy and the quiet house will be bustling again before I know it!! I try to make my moves count when I'm here all alone!...:)
I'm kicking myself that I didn't do more canning in August now! I don't know when I would have done it but now we are starting other things and it will soon be time to do the fall outdoor cleanup. The pool is still up and pretty clean but it will need to go next week now since nobody has been swimming in it. I can tell some of the flowers are ready to be pulled out already to. Another season is approaching!! One more big party planned here this weekend. After this maybe I can get to some canning!??
Sisters and I did a shopping day yesterday. The boys are now stocked with shirts and pants for the school season. I love that they still love the clothes I buy for them! They were happy with the shirts. I'm no longer buying them the same size in anything! This makes it nice when folding laundry! Jordan is now small or even x-small sometimes! He is loving it!...:)
Chiropractor last evening was good. Jordan was given the okay to jump to a more basic gluten free diet He is thrilled about this even if we are taking it very slowly! He loves pumpkin anything so he is hoping for a pumpkin dessert soon but it will be a bit yet for dessert...:) Yesterday I got a small pumpkin spice latte and it woke up my fall senses! I'm ready to pull out the sweaters and long sleeve shirts now... As I say this just before I go outside to work in the hot heat all day!...:0 I will be ready for cooler weather after today if I'm not already!!... I'm off to get busy, bread is done.
If you want to join in on the food sensitivity meetings here at my house, or you know of someone that might want to join in you are welcome here next week for the first one. I would like to get feed back on how often and times that work but for now I'm saying here at ten o'clock on Wed. Sept.10th... These have been great learning experiences for me and I hope they will be to others as well!
Aw yeah bring along all your ideas and what works for you. Maybe recipes and supplements you like and what you like about them. Jordan is the testimony here at our house and I'm sure there are many more testimonies out there that can help those around us. This is starting to be a big thing! Healthy life style is so worth it if you struggle with your health or even as a prevention if you don't! I have so much to learn and I look forward to hearing from you!!
Have a BLESSED Day! Stay cool somehow!
