Another Buck!!... Hospital...

We have a very proud hunter today!!! Jordan finally got the big buck he was waiting for and dreaming about!! He has hunted so much this season and to finish it strong is making it so worth it!! He has had many learning experiences in the woods this year that are molding and shaping his hunter life for the many more years of hunting ahead of him!!

This is the big brute he put down up at the cabin this morning!! The guys drove him out from the brush where he was bedded in hiding. Jordan had a blast!!

His story is fun and I will get him on here to share it with you all next week!

Jordan hunted the archery season so patiently. He passed up some small bucks here at home and up at the cabin. A few times he had them right where he wanted them in his scope and he made the decision not to shoot! He wanted to go spotting every night after dark and it was either Dave or I that took him and his spotlight for a drive!... Every Night!  He just grabbed whichever one of us that was available and it was fun because we almost always seen deer in the spot light!! Sometimes a few small bucks were having  a rack to rack fight...!:) He loves every minute of wildlife and he even sets traps around here to see what for action he can get! He got an opossum in his trap one day last week and even that was great!...:)

We love that he connects so well with hunting!! His uncle Jonathan is his big hero since he has the same kind of connection with hunting!! They get the biggest kick out of each other when it comes to hunting!...:)

Way to go Jordan... You deserve the big one for sure!

We are enjoying this lovely sunny weather and plus it's a Saturday!!! The guys are coming home from the cabin today and we have a big party planned here for this evening...  friends and cousins that like to talk business and investing opportunities. Dave loves this type of conversation with younger guys that are hungry to learn so the party is mostly his and he is even bringing in the food!!

My mom has been in the hospital the last few days. The day yesterday was spent at the hospital with her. She wasn't feeling the best lately and after she made a quick decision to go to the Urgent Care before bed the other evening she ended up in the hospital. The Urgent Care was not about to let her leave the facility with her sky high blood pressure! They even got the ambulance and had the medics meet up to start an IV! She was a ticking time bomb and they said if her vessels had any kind of weakness something would have blown! She is lucky and on the mend once again. So far tests show everything is okay other then a few normal things that go along with having such high blood pressure. She will hopefully come home today. Thanks for praying for my mom.

I'm off to pick up dad's deer meat and get it in jars for mom and maybe I'll even mow the yard one more time today! The weather is sunny and so warm... We love to be outside so I'm thinking we will be out while it's warm!

I'm even still getting greens out of my garden!! I picked these this morning after my run and it is great to still be getting fresh greens!! Back to Eden must be the trick? I don't have the greens covered at all yet they just last and last!...:)

Jordan said good bye to Angel this week!! Angel and Sayili go back to there real mom today. Jordan had a cute connection with Angel and this picture that Matthew took brought tears to my eyes...
We love you Angel and Sayili!!

The winery behind us that joins our property is being sold on auction today. We miss the well kept vineyards around us. The place has been going down hill and the grapes are pretty much all grown up among weeds now. The whole piece goes today and we are hoping for the best as we could see some changes take place around us back in here. We have enjoyed the quiet vineyards so much and we hope it will remain quiet and low key!...:)

Enjoy this lovely day!!... Thanks to Jordan I will be canning even more meat next week!!
