Ready-Set-Go!!

Today is the last full day of school for the school children before we head out on our wintertime adventure!

This morning when I packed the lunches up for the last time my mind was whooping and whooping! I couldn't let it out because everyone else was still asleep...:)  This is one thing about the school months that we put lots of effort and time into and at times it gets a bit crazy! We are so looking forward to the break and the Belizian food is awesome!!

The last Kombucha bottle day took place today.... I have brewed a fresh batch. (four gallons)  I will gladly hand it off to you if you want to continue on with the culture! You can have the gallon of tea and the culture. Contact me is you are interested!! We have been drinking this drink for a year now and I cannot say enough of good things about it!! We will MISS IT!! Especially the fact that it is eighty degrees in Belize right now! Kombucha has come to be the only satisfying hydrater on hot days around here!! (or any other day!) We drink lots!!

The last minute packages are still showing up at the door! I'm wrapping them as fast as they arrive!...:) We plan to do our Christmas with our children on Christmas eve. Because we are eating out of the freezer and cleaning out the corner cupboards in the kitchen around here right now we are thinking taking the family out to a nice restaurant to eat would be a better choice for us this year. Then we can come back here for story time, gifts, games and snacks. We are looking forward to Christmas!!

Today the upstairs cleaning got done. The last time for me for awhile!! Tomorrow Rachel Ann comes to help me with the main floor then I have her coming in next week to cleanup after us! Spoiled I know, but hey she gets the winter off!! I will miss you Rachel Ann!!

I'm cleaning corners and decluttering as I go today... My most favorite thing to do! I have found in order for me to stay sane and keep up with this big house I must declutter often because with so many big closets it's so easy to just let things pile up, my mom never liked clutter and I guess I'm my mothers daughter because if it has not gotten used for the last year it's most likely going to someone else that needs it or off to the reuse it... or in today's case it's going to the trash because that is exactly what it is!...:)

Jordan has one more infusion this week then next weeks treatment will take place on the island of Ambergris Caye in Belize! We are praying for an easy adjustment to island life as it is pretty warm there and the lifestyle will have us screeching in sideways!!...:) We can't wait!!

I'm off to bake Jordan some Christmas goodies. He requested Dark Chocolate bark and we will also make him some cookies for a Christmas treat at mom and dad's. We cannot wait to hangout with my family on Christmas day! They seem to be stacking up the many events after Christmas to... like breakfast out and Sunday and Monday together! I got warned to work ahead because they want to spend all the time with us that they can before we leave! We will miss them terribly! I wish so bad I could pack them all up with us!!!

Today it feels like I could have everything ready to go out the door for Belize in an hour! The house is starting to feel empty as I either pack it and or organize it. This is good though because now we can think Christmas! The true meaning is PRICELESS and we do not take it lightly!

Tomorrow we have a half day of school and today I find myself soaking up the quiet house as I will most likely not have this in Belize with doing school in home and we will be living in pretty tight quarters, also we will be without many of the things around here that make life "more efficient" and "easier"... So we can have more TIME right!!?? Not how it works here for some odd reason!...:)

I plan to pick up the children at school tomorrow to gather school text books and supplies and go over last minute details with teachers concerning school on the island. We have already appreciated the tutor in Belize! She is on email with each child's teacher and they are communicating back and forth! We so appreciate Linville working with us so graciously on this unique situation!! We are praying all will go smoothly and the back home adjustment will not be a shock to them!...:)

The rain is back and it looks like Christmas eve day will be at almost seventy degrees!! We packed the flip flops and shorts but we might just be digging them out!...:} It feels weird to have it warm over this season but we are not complaining..:)

Have a BLESSED week full of this WONDERFUL season!! REMEMBER TO APPRECIATE THE TRUE MEANING OF IT ALL!! Jesus Christ came as a baby for each individual so that we may have life eternal!! What an AMAZING plan God played out to save us from the devil and his plan for us in HELL!!
