A whole lot going on here at our house this week! We are looking forward to a fun relaxing week-end ahead!
The big fishing tournament takes place this week-end just down from our house. Jordan has been counting down the days and his fishing stuff is lined up and ready to go. (Thanks Dad for fixing his line!) We were down last evening as they stocked fifteen hundred fish into the pond! They want them all back out so they are hoping for many people who love to fish...:)
We had a very busy active day yesterday and today. I was just about to go out and start the mowing but the showers are keeping me inside as of now. I'm not at all complaining about the showers though as the grass has a tint of brown to it, it needs the rain so bad! Hoping it rains now and not at the fishing fund raiser.
Yesterday we had a camera crew here filming a "Man Cave", the name of a type of shed from the shop that they are working on marketing more. This thing looks like an ordinary shed on the outside but inside it's all nice and finished. Idea being... One man could live in it...:)
It was delivered into our yard a few days back then Jonathan, Marilyn, Dave and I decorated it in preparation for the filming crew! I'll send a link on it when it is complete...:)
It really is cute and now that it's here and furnished Justin wants to have a sleepover/camp out in it this week-end with some friends. He is still working out the details.
It took the camera crew a few hours to shoot all the stuff and Dave's parachute plane was involved to! Not sure how it will all turn out but they even walked through the house! Dave called in to me... Is the house presentable? We will be filming as we walk in the front door and out the back!! I quickly glance around and start cleaning up. It really was fine but I was trying to get windows cleaned. (my task for yesterday! An extension ladder to do the high ups!) I had a hard time sticking to my job as the beautiful weather, the kids and all the commotion kept me quit distracted!
While the filming crew was still here another crew came, from the shop, to assemble and put the grape arbor in place...
These guys worked really hard to get this thing sack created into perfect level position. We felt like they deserved a smoothie! Jordan and Ashley delivered them a blueberry/banana smoothie...
Jonathan's girls were here most of the day yesterday! We love having cousins next door!! They had a blast going from the pool, to the four wheelers, to the campfire, where they roasted hot dogs for lunch!! I thought it would be a fun treat to eat over the campfire in the middle of the day plus it kept the mess outside!! Who wanted to be indoors on such a perfect day anyway??! Thanks girls for being here!! The kids love when you come!!
Javon and Hannah were found inside at one point... They love to hangout in the basement!
Jenika and Martina can spend hours together!!
As the kids were all at the pond watching the hatchery truck unload the fish, and Dave was away somewhere, I decided to hoe up my flowerbeds. I had my iPod in and was in my own little world out back, when Justin came running into the back yard absolutely beside himself!! I started shaking instantly! I could only get out of him "It's to late! It's to late!! As I went running off to see if I can find out what was the matter, since he was to upset to tell me!! I was sure someone was really hurt or even killed the way he acted!!
It turned out that he put gas into the NEW small four wheeler, it was parked out the drive a ways, behind the woods out of my sight. He must have dumped a bunch of it, when he started it the gas started to burn!! (He still had memories of the old golf cart burning at the cabin! Josiah I had to think of you!) So he took off out of there and came rushing home with the other four wheeler!!
As soon as he calmed down enough to tell me nobody is hurt, or even around, I started to send my thanks to God! I told him it was only a toy and as long as the babies are safe it's OK. But the big boys know they are not to ride the small wheeler so he was guilty. I could see smoke coming from beyond the trees so I figured it's all burnt up by now! Dave comes in the drive right then, sees the smoke, parks the truck and goes running. He gets there and it's only the grass burning all around the four wheeler and that thing is totally fine!
Justin sure was relived and has learned another valuable lesson! It seemed like, because it happened with the golf cart, he was beating himself up so bad because he thought he should know better by now!! Gas and fire do not mix!! He learnt that the hard way when Jordan got burned (back when he was five) I'll share that story another time.
My cleanse only lasted one day!...:/ I was so hungry! I think it was the running..? I think if I had to have another beet smoothie I would have croaked!...:) I'm not a cleanse person so I wondered how this would go...? I love breakfast and when I woke yesterday morning I knew I had a big busy day ahead, that would require lots of energy! So I had an egg. I still like the seven ingredients I was allowed and I want to eat more of them in my daily diet but them seven alone were not cutting it for me...:)
Maybe I'll try again sometime...?
This was Jordan supper plate the day I was cleansing! With Strawberry shortcake for dessert! How can I eat beets when I have to cook yummy food for my family?? Fish (baked flounder) veggie pasta, rice and broccoli... I had to miss this meal but I couldn't skip my eggs for breakfast the next morning...!~
We are off to the chiropractor...
