Here we are into June...
The weather has cooled some and it is lovely today!! The honeysuckles have made there lovely fragrance known to me on my morning run. It takes me a little longer on my runs these days due to my new shoes, but I didn't even mind this morning because the honeysuckle route I took smelled heavenly! I tell Dave all the time that I believe God has my heavenly mansion crawling with honeysuckles!! I can't wait to get there! I think with such a heaven sent fragrance they should at least last longer throughout the year here!...:)
My run this morning...
I also started a three day cleanse today. I had for breakfast... In a blender... half a beet, (roasted and cut up last night) 1/4 avocado, 1/2 cup frozen blueberries, squeeze of lime, 1/2 cup coconut milk, a touch of raw honey and a few ice cubes. It was just OK. I like those ingredients but it still went down kind of hard all blended together like that. Not sure how this will go...?:) Drinking lots of water is also the key to this cleanse.
Jordan just came in with an arm load of honeysuckle for my vase!! So excited to have the scent lingering in the house...;) He was at the shop all day yesterday and I really missed him. He wants to start work out there a few days a week but I'm not sure if he felt like he belonged anywhere out there yesterday...:) He kept asking people if they had something for him to do and many did give him odd jobs but I think his last three hours out there were kind of long...:) He was out cleaning out the pool here early this morning already. We have it almost full now.... A few more days yet .
The grape arbor has arrived!! It is very heavy and lays in the back yard waiting for a few shop guys to come set it in place, anchor it down and get it all set to go...:)
It came with a story... On Saturday when it got delivered I was out watering the garden as the guy was unloading it. The kids were all around me and Jordan was asked by the delivery man to balance the arbor in place as he pulls his trailer out from underneath it. Jordan did fine until a board that was on the trailer caught the arbor. He then had to balance it up just a hair to get around the board and lost control of it. No big deal it just came plopping down really hard on the ground BUT... Jenika happened to be right at the very spot that the arbor was going to plop!! She saw it coming and sprinted out of the way JUST IN TIME!! If that thing would have come down on her it could have been really bad!! The delivery man got out of his truck and kind of breathed hard and said wow that was close!!
It had me thinking for awhile... God was watching out for her AGAIN~~! Dave got the shivers as I was telling him the story! We know she is like that so we try to watch out for her extra much but then at times we realize again how we really cannot protect her from everything forever!... She is the busy body that has always kept us on our toes and we are starting to think she has her own special angel for her protection!
We are so enjoying the slower pace of June! With the busy school schedule the last month I thought it would never slow up here! We have yet to have the boys basketball friends over, we left it to them to do the inviting and they seem to be to busy enjoying the time off that they haven't even gotten to it yet...:) I told Justin I got the snack for the evening but he needs to do the inviting...;)
This week-end will be a happening place in our neighborhood! There is a fishing fund raiser down at Amy's pond. The funds will go to Anthony Stoltzfus who will be serving in Mexico. His blog address...

There will be food and campfire into Friday evening, quate tournaments, tents, singers, fishing begins at 5 o'clock Saturday morning. Jordan is so excited about it all!! He plans to be watching as they stock the fish tomorrow and he will plan to be there first thing Saturday morning to fish them back out!!! If you wish to support Anthony and his service come out for the fun week-end. Dave is planning to do a candy drop from the sky sometime Saturday. (weather permitting)
I want to enjoy every minute of my Summer this year! It seems it goes by faster every year and before we know it, it is again time to pull out those flowers and bring out the jackets. We have Spring projects still in need of getting done around here but I have learnt to just be more OK when things don't get done on my time table...:)
My morning devotions this morning said it this way... "The way to walk through demanding days is to grip My hand tightly and stay in close communication with me. Let your thoughts and spoken words be richly flavored with trust and thankfulness. Regardless of the day's problems, I can keep you in perfect peace as you stay close to Me." (From Jesus to Me...)
I was also blessed by Rosa's blog post this morning! Thanks Girl! Blessings to your family up there at the Haft! No matter where we are in life it always takes discipline and effort to be in tune with God and his perfect will for our lives... Rosa's blog address...www.thedutchclan.blogspot.com Let's slow life down and find those quiet moments with God, where we are so quiet in his presence we can hear him speak really loud...:) It is an awesome place to be!
Have a blessed Tuesday... I'm off to have a snack of almonds...;) No coffee or chocolate today...:0
