Our 4th of July GetAway...

This is always a highlight of our summer!! We are enjoying quality time with extended family! The kids are so enjoying cousin time to!

We always have so much going on around here on this "GetAway" with Dave's family! The guys enjoyed some competitive game time this morning...:)

It was my morning to do breakfast. It went well since most of the mess was made in my home kitchen yesterday. We were the last ones up here last evening since we had two kids at summer camp. The closing camp program was at six o'clock last evening, a thunder storm popped up during the program which had me scrambling the Little's and the dog (which came to the cabin with us) to the van instead of underneath the open shelter.

The week was quiet around home without Jenika and Justin! Javon so missed Jen and they giggled like the entire ride up to the cabin! I love how these two connect! Jordan did get to go to camp with Dave for awhile one day. He made a belt while he was there and he spent the time with his age group. Some of his camp friends flipped out at how much smaller he got!...:)

Jenika absolutely loved every minute of her camp time!! I knew this would so be her thing! She loves action packed days and this camp time was definitely that!

Her with her favorite counselor...:)

Some of her camp highlights... The small creek in front of her cabin and her bunny craft that they got to paint...

It was so  good to all be together again even if it was driving straight to the cabin from camp...:)

Yesterday as I was packing up and preparing breakfast food in the kitchen I had mom and grandma Beiler at the house. It is so great for mom (she has her on Thursdays) if we get grandma to get out of her hot stuffy house for a few hours! It was so good for her to and she had a good day at my house. She was entertained by Javon much of the day. He seemed to be okay with repeating himself over and over again as she asked him the same questions again and again. He does know that she has a forgetful sickness so he was patient and it was so cute to watch them interact as they read books and looked at pictures. They went outside for a short walk one time to...:) If you remember to pray for her and her care takers I'm sure they would be so grateful!

We got a new toy delivered yesterday... The two boys that were at home when this thing came were high fiveing and oh so excited!...:) Javon had a four wheeler that was always in need of a "fix it shop" last summer and he loved it but we sold it back to the guy that sold it to us because we got so tired of spending money fixing it again and again!  We so missed his small wheeler though and our large property is perfect for something that the kids can ride around with! It entertains them for hours as they pick berries and just ride the trails!... Dave met a friend that gave a good deal on this older model cart and the kids are beyond thrilled!... This thing waits at home for the kids to ride next week ...:)

Things get quiet here at the cabin in the afternoon as many people relax and take naps. The kids are going back and forth from the creek with the golf cart and they came up a bit ago showing off a bucket of crawl fish! I snuck down a took some pictures then I got a good workout on my way back up the trail hauling Angelina on my "piggy back"...:)

These are a just few of the adorable faces I'm enjoying on this "GetAway"...:)

We have fifty people up here in our seven bedroom two full bath cabin! No wonder it's for sale and we are in the process of building bigger...:)

Matthew and Roxie have two foster children. They are loving the action up here and they are so adorable!!

They adore Jordan!! He says he has another "Ava" case but only x 2!!...:)
They always want Jordan! Their ages are two and three and they are very well behaved! They have a story. Mom is living in a homeless shelter in New York somewhere and Dad can not take them. Jordan was asked by Sayaly "Where is my Mom?" Jordan pointed to Roxie and she said "that's not my mom. I think my mom is at work" It pulled at Jordan's heart that somebody could just walk out on these adorable little people!  Pray for them and also Mathew and Roxie as they adjust to this "new normal"... These Little ones are already a part of this "Zook Family"! We all adore them!

Jordan and his shadows... Angel and Sayaly...

We have a ballgame planned at the park for this evening which always gets interesting and then Papa treats the whole clan for ice cream from the ice cream shop!! The Ice Cream Parlor loves to see the Zook's show up every forth! They even hire more help for this!!...:)

Have a Great "Forth Of July" Remember to pray for the familes that have lost loved ones in service to our country. Let us not take our freedom for granted and may we remember to thank God for blessing us with such a great freedom!...

ps... loving this air card service... what better time and place to take time to post! Plus I love to post the moment right at the moments of happening!...:)
