Short Vacation Getaway...

We enjoyed a fun week end away. It took place at a cabin we have been enjoying every year for the past four or so years now. My Grandma Dienner enjoys getting this week end together for us all.

We had a bit of a smaller crowd this year, due to some being relation to the Merv Beiler family. My Uncle Elam is a brother to Merv's wife,  them and there family had to call this trip off. Merv was in a tractor accident last Friday and after an uncertain week in the hospital he passed away a week later. He left a wife and nine children. Four are married. This will leave an empty chair at there dinner table and they will miss the Leader of there home very much! Please join in prayer for Verna and her family as they begin the journey of finding a new normal without Dad and Husband...

The rest of us cut the trip a little shorter with all wanting to attend this viewing last evening. The time we had there was fun even though we had limited sunshine. The pool was again a huge highlight!
The food is always amazing and we enjoy every minute of making sure we don't get hungry...:} Mummy D is always ready to hand out the snacks and drinks!!

Jenika loves her Daddy time in the water!! He is as action packed as she wants!!:)

 

 

Everyone enjoyed watching the kids get more and more daring on the diving board! Why is it they wait to do all the fun daring stunts until it's time to go home?

James was getting more daring with trying to keep up with Jenika's stunts of back flips and backwards dives! Jenika would dive off then try to tell James how it's done. He didn't get it quite like she did she would then say to us... I can't believe he is older then me and he can't do it but I can!! She is a total fish in water so for him to keep up with her in the water proves to be a chore but he was sure enjoying the trying just before we left yesterday! Up to this point he just pretty much watched her do her crazy stunts...:)

This baby dear got pretty spoiled with arms always ready to hold and cuddle him! He is so good to and did very little crying! Here he is getting a bath from Aunt Marilyn...

Kath was a little undecided about this trip but she had lots of hands to help!  Marilyn had her two older kids overnight before we left so getting out of the house early Saturday would go as smoothly as possible. Then up at the cabin she got her meals taken care of, her kids had lots of babysitters and she could do more relaxing here then at home all week end...:) We sure did enjoy the new born in the house all week end... So DARLING he is at Nine days old!!...

Sunday morning after breakfast brought some great Biblical discussion...

We had some rain showers but the kids were still entertained...

Because of rain showers the smores were made indoors by Dave...:) They were a huge hit!

 

 

We look forwards to this trip every year! The kids totally soak up the action packed week end with friends!! Thanks Mommy and Daudy D for getting this together once again! We consider it a huge blessing to vacation this way with you every Summer!!

Today we are catching up on laundry. The kids are enjoying Jonathan's girls back from there ten day vacation to Montana! Welcome back guys!! We sure missed our neighbors!

We have Doctor appointments for two kids for school records and booster shots...(Drama Queen...YIKES!) We also had Miss Drama Queen to the dentist bright and early this morning for a spacer... She cried most of the way home because it felt tight in her mouth! We stopped at the local "Reuse it Shop" to get her a new ~BIG~ Teddy Bear, because she was sure that would make her feel better! It miraculously did!! She hasn't shed a tear since she has this big guy!! I'd say it sure was worth the two dollars!! She already named him Bella!!...:)
