The weather has turned a corner, I think. It looks like it will be a hot Summer week like the ones we are used to this time of year!! The pool will be the place this week...
I was even in for awhile this afternoon!! I rarely get wet but it felt really good to be in the water today. The kids were delighted to have me joining them!
I also have Austin and Leanna today to. Kath is out doing "Pregnant" things at her Doctor for awhile then she gets the rest of the afternoon off. The baby will be here any day now so her day off without her kiddos is probably a treat...(I remember this stage so well!) Plus they get to stay really cool here and have a blast with cousins! I know my kids are thrilled when they can have friends over!! They are either in the pool or on the four wheeler!
I decided to enjoy the sunny week of Summer this week, then next week it will be back to preserving foods! My can shelves have really emptied out over the Winter months! Time to fill those jars back up! I want to start earlier this year so I can finish earlier. Plus things seem ready earlier because of all the rains we have had for wonderful growth! We also have a busy Winter planned with Belize for three weeks over Christmas! If I'm not careful I can be canning right up until Christmas!...:) I do love it though and I look forward to trying some new things!
We are thrilled to have Daddy/Hubby back in the home again! He arrived home late Saturday night or early Sunday morning rather. The kids were happy to have Daddy wake them up for Sunday school! He was so tired and being three hours behind us in time it got us up later then we like for a Sunday morning. We skipped our Sunday morning run. Very unusual for us! I got 22 miles last week though so I didn't mind the day off...:)
We will enjoy him this week before he leaves again... for Texas this time.
Guests are planned for Dinner tomorrow evening so I'm off to get my menu planned. We love to entertain and do a lot of it in the Summertime! This time it will be Boyd Martin and his wife. (The famous Olympic Horse trainer!) Him and Dave are good buddies. Dave's Horizon business has done a lot of Horse Barn work for this guy. Great guy with a neat British accent, could be interesting!...:)
We look forward to our yearly outing with the Zook family at the Zimmerman pond this week to! The Zimmerman Pond is a huge highlight of our Summer! We ladies spend all day then the men all join us for supper and the evening swimming hours! It looks like it will be a great hot day for it!
I just love to see the kids enjoying Summer... It will be tough to think school next month already!
This kid is especially fun this Summer! He has gotten out of his comfortable box in so many ways! We sometimes wonder if this is the same Javon??? He is so much more outgoing and crazy then he was at one time!... I just love him so much!!...
