We are enjoying the sunshine today and the kids still spend many hours outdoors. The yard got mowed for the last time this week and the leaves that are still hanging will just need to blow away or else wait until spring to be dealt with...:)
Bread is baking. Pies are baked, casseroles and salads are made...
I'm doing some blessing meals today. Dave's friend Todd "Todd and Susie" had a baby boy last week so I plan to take them a meal and do baby's birth announcement pictures. I'll keep this open for now and put a picture at the end of the post before I publish it...:)
Rachel Ann's dad is having both knees replaced in surgery today! She is in the hospital all day and plans to meet me at Todd's later to help with baby pictures. I told her I will make her supper tonight to, I might not get a chance to do this right when baby is born because we plan to leave for Belize a day after her due date! Hope to meet "Little One" before we leave for our trip!!
Dave thought my menu sounded good so he picked up Javon from school today and came home for lunch...:) I was just pulling the warm bread from the oven as he came in the drive! He loves the fresh warm bread here more then any of the rest of us...:)
It feels like a "Fix It" week here. After six years in our new home things are starting to need maintenance. We had a window crack on us a few years ago, it got to hot when the grill got to close so that got measured and scheduled for replacement this week. Free replacement but just to get the guy called and scheduled took years...:/ (This is so me)
The electrician is scheduled to come and fix up all my window candles and get them back in running order. The babies were so hard on them!! I finally put them away in the broken state and figured I'd get them out again when they are older. Now that they are older they have better things to do then ruin my window candles...;) (this stage passed so quickly!)
I have Budget Blinds scheduled to replace a few blinds that are tore and broken. Again free replacement just a tad of my time to make the phone call...this can take me a long time...~sigh~
The garage doors got fixed this week. The rubber on the bottom was tore since the dog chewed it as a puppy! He left our home a year ago and was a few year old! The doors were all screeching to so this repair feels good.
The carpets are on schedule for a shampoo while we are in Belize.
The bedbug situation!!???
We had a pest control company here this week and they saw no signs of bed bugs at all! After doing some research on these critters I was horrified at how they can get out of hand! The boys were not sleeping in there beds for over a week and all the kids were living out of the laundry room! I had a table and a rack set up in the laundry for there piles of wash! I didn't even let them bring down there own pillows! They were sleeping on the air mattress in the sun room and not getting a good nights sleep for over a week!
Jordan's bites are healing nicely so I now have no idea what it was that was eating him alive but we are keeping an eye on things and we keep watch for new bites every morning since he is back up in his bed. I cleaned the boys rooms like crazy before moving them back in. We are thankful we do not have bedbugs! People lose friends over these things!!!:) Plus last week we had a guest!! I was so afraid we sent bedbugs home with him!! ~Whew~ THANKFUL!!
We had an Amish wedding yesterday plus a banquet at Shady Maple last evening! I was glad I made it out for a five mile run yesterday morning before getting the kids off! After so much yummy food I will need a few more five milers!...:) The boys then had dentist appointments in the afternoon for cleanings. ~No Cavities!~ Keep it up guys!
The Gospel Express Banquets are always a blessing to me! The singing and the testimony was awesome! We took the older boys along to so it was a fun night out for us... Thanks Jonathan's for having the Little's! I left there more determined then ever to do more for my Lord!! We are just way to comfortable these days!! The question was asked... Do we care more about our lattes then we do the lost and hurting souls around us?? I was extremely challenged by last evenings powerful presentation! Our God is still working in amazing ways through this ministry!
A Christmas shopping day is planned for later this week. Mom and Kath plan to join me. I'm hoping to get it all done in one day! Keeping it more "simple" this year. We also have a birthday boy in the house this week!! Our first born will be fourteen!! Wow!! I'm now smaller then him!...:) Jordan told me this morning the house boots I wear look tiny to him! He asked if they fit me for sure?? I said yes they are even a bit to big! I told him "As you guys grow up so big I think I will just keep feeling tinyer and tinyer...:) Love my guys!...:)
I'm off to deliver supper and do baby pictures... I hope baby will be "happy" to see me...
I'll be back with pictures of him...
I'm back... He did great... So cute!!
Check out all his hair!!...Darling baby he is!!
Congratulations Todd and Susie!!
I can't believe Todd is a dad!! I told him that I need to really see him with the baby to actually even imagine it!! I'm sure you will make great parents guys!! I had so much fun snuggling this guy I hardly got enough of pictures!...:) Thanks for letting me in on the fun... Enjoy your precious bundle!!
These days pass quickly!!
