Big Buck Down!!

More Buck action today!!

This was Dave's kill this morning! He got this nice 8 point this morning while hunting down behind the shop. He was happy with his kill but we were disappointed to see green gangarine coming out of his ears! He had kind of a hole on the side of his face like maybe he got into a fight with another buck and got his injury that way? We will not be eating this meat for sure!!

Dave thought about not tagging him and reporting his kill to the game commission and getting another tag but then he would have lost this buck, so he tug it and this will be his kill for this season...:) He went out hunting with Justin this evening then. Jonathan was watching a nice wide seven point this morning while hunting in the brier patch out here at the house and he had a doe with him so Jonathan figured he wasn't going anywhere today. We also saw a nice wide buck cross the road right in front of us today while we were on the road with the van and he ran right up towards where Justin hunts. They set up but just came in without a kill. That's it for our Archery season... Way to Go Hon! Also way to go Jordan!! It was so much fun this year!!:)

We love Saturday's here! Today was fun with Dave around the house more. We got some clean up done in the garage and other odds. I got a fast three mile run in this morning. Not my long Saturday morning run but with the action here I didn't make it out till later, plus then my guys were here making breakfast and I didn't want to miss out so I just cut in after three miles and joined them for breakfast...:) That was way more fun anyway...:)


We got a new grill for us today (Matt Lapps used one) So we are grilling burgers and steaks for supper to try it out...:) The cookies are baking that will go into the freezer and we are going to call it a day... It was nice to have a warmer day and many people took this warmer opportunity to rake the many many leaves on the ground! I might mow one more time on Monday yet. I got the trimming done for the last time and did some weed killing and more blowing yesterday.
