Javon had a field trip to Kitchen Kettle with his class this morning. I missed "Ladies Bible Study" for the first time since we started our Beth Moore DVD series, it really spitted me but I didn't want to see Javon miss this fun field trip! I did this one with Jordan and Jenika when they were in Preschool so I knew he would love this day!!
They got to decorate a cookie and tour the neat shops in the village. I did the tour with Jordan and Jenika but this time the parents were not welcome to join in. I think they had issues with to many people and younger siblings and all so they now take only the preschool class. I went across the street for a latte while he did the tour with his class... It was a nice "time out" for me...:)
After the tour Javon and I went to get another Hamster! He has pet day coming up Friday and Jenika also has pet day coming in her school. Jordan's class is looking for a class pet to so this thing will be spending some time at school!... Javon loved Pet Smart!! We spent way more time in there then we would have needed to, he was so enjoying checking out all the little critters and watching the dogs get a grooming...:) Days out like this with him are something that I treasure...!
I know I'm crazy bringing another one of these home after losing two in the house somewhere! We did give it a longer break and I'm hoping they will be more responsible this time! Javon already is enjoying this thing!
We are enjoying Winter Bible School going on at our church right now. The kids enjoy the kids classes a lot and our speaker is so interesting in the adult class!
Jordan had a rough day yesterday. When things go routine like he seems fine but Sunday's when things are out of the ordinary and everyone else is making there own type of yummy food off and on all day he gets really frustrated!
Dave grilled some steaks and Jordan loves steaks! He is not eating beef right now but we have to much in the freezer to keep the rest of the family from eating it. I have cut back on the meat for everybody and I have been buying lots of chicken but I don't like to buy so much when we have so much other meat in the freezer. Some days will be harder for him and we expected this. He just needed some space and to be left alone for awhile, he was soon happier again. His dish was made with pork chops and it was amazing but I guess he rather wanted steaks.
Today was "Cozy Day" for Jenika and Jordan. They had "No Electricity Day" in Jordan's classroom to, he took his flashlight and a candle to! They both took a big garbage bag of blankets, pillows, teddies and slippers! The lunches were not to use microwave which is not unusual for Jordan anyway and Jenika had soup in her "Lunch Bots Container"
Justin had "Nerd Day" in his classroom! He looked like a real nerd and he gave me a good belly laugh when he entered the kitchen this morning! Dave's old flat brown shoes, pulled way up past his belly button jeans, (which showed way to short on the bottom), a tight belt and a way to tight shirt! His hair was combed off to the side and he had hideous looking glasses on!! It was an interesting day for them as a few of the students were also in charge of making lunch for the whole class. They had pancakes and eggs for lunch! I like "February Fun" as much as they do just because I see how much they enjoy these unusual days and activities that go on in February...:)
We are off to see the Chiropractor then to evening Bible School...
I LOVE being a MOTHER... I want to take more time to focus on whats really important in life...
Have a BLESSED Monday...
