Beauty Of The "Ice Storm"

We have ICE!!

It makes for a beautiful picture of God's handiwork outside my kitchen window again today!

Because of this "Ice Storm" we again have a no school day here!

It started as a two hour delay earlier this morning, I kept thinking surely the second call will come soon to cancel school all together for today, our driveway was a sheet of ice and everything was covered with a layer of ice!

I soon decided I better get the kids ready for school and because of our later start we kind of had to scramble all of the sudden... I packed the lunches and Jenika was slowly getting dressed (she wanted to stay in PJ's) The call did come to cancel school after some closed roads and down trees had some of the folks taking detours and thinking maybe it would be better to cancel school for today after all... Glad I don't need to make this decision this winter! They did enjoy eating the already packed lunches here at home today...:)

Jenika loves the outdoor fun that this winter has brought! Here she is enjoying the ice...

We are thankful for electricity as I know many around us do not have it! I have laundry going and we are able to have heat and hot water. The day is slower pace and fun with the kids home... This is the sun room couch this morning after spending more time then normal in here... Books and Bands are great entertainment on "Ice Storm" days...
Justin and Javon went out into the vineyards hunting for birds.  They shot five black birds. Jordan entertained us outside the window for a bit making this snowman on the side porch...;)

We are praying all will go well to get his infusion in before the next snow storm arrives this week end!! His medication is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow and we have James scheduled for early Saturday morning to do the infusion... He is doing well this week. We are thankful and so blessed! I declare he is getting smaller by the day! His favorite food is his meat! He grills meat in the garage almost everyday,  he has it smelling so good around here that everyone wants to eat his food!..:)
He then adds greens and veggies to his meat. Coconut oil and olive oil is something we are going through faster then ever before! We cook everything with coconut oil the he used olive oil to drizzle over his greens.... We have gotten creative and he is so helpful in the whole process!!

He no longer feels like the butterfly that I posted in his Health journey post... This is more like him now...:)

We are so thankful!!! He is responding so well with the cleanse and taking the foods from his diet that were causing so much trouble have been a huge blessing to him already!!

These two are the best of friends on these snow days! Javon is thrilled to have his siblings home so many days this winter!!

Yes we are still running in this cold snowy winter... I told Dave to come stand beside me last night after our run just so I had something to remember it by come the hot July runs...:) Running in this weather might make July look easy but in July I might be dreaming of this...:)

The house is quiet. The kids have all walked to school to sled on the enormous snow pile they have there. (they have a school break yet they still want to be there...:)) The temps are not to cold but the snow has gotten sloppy. Not sure how long they will last over there, I'm off to get the house back in order before they come back and start all over with more indoor fun... I have been dodging balls today! They love to throw balls, bounce on balls, shoot balls and the ball fun never stops here just because it's winter time! I don't know how many times I throw a ball down the basement steps in a days time but they somehow manage to find their way back up again each time!!

We are enjoying the beauty that this winter is bringing us!! We are excited for lots more snow this week-end!!...:)

We are enjoying the beauty of the "Ice Storm" here and we hope you are all as well... Stay safe as this storm moves out making way for the next one!!... Winter looks far from over yet..:) We are thankful for the men on the front lines working to clear trees and wires for those affected in our community!
