The rain showers are lovely today! It is just what the gardens ordered. Praise the Lord for sunny lovely days but also for days like today!
This is what I'm doing this afternoon...
What you see is boys clothes!! I'm going through clothes in preparation of a yard sale on Saturday!! I haven't even gotten to the attic or Jenika's clothes yet!! I might be at this for awhile! Perfect day for it...:) I will have clothes ranging in age from 2-16!! I'm saving some of Jordan's things for Javon and of course some favorites I just can't part with but come on out to check out my stuff, there are many other families involved in this yard sale as well!!
It takes place on the corner of Simmontown and Strasburg Roads in Gap! I'll post a few more pictures later when I have all my stuff together and maybe you will see something that might bring you out on Saturday!
Yesterday had me in Philly all day exploring the city with Justin's class! It went well. The driving went well to...:) We toured the U.S Mint where they make coins. Most served lunch to the homeless at a homeless shelter but because the group was to large some of us split off and toured the Mint instead of doing that. We stopped along the way and bought lunch for two homeless guys. The first one got a subway sub meal and the next guy got pizza and a drink...;) Here the guys are approaching the man to give him the sub lunch... His sign said... HUNGRY!
We went to the Reading Terminal Market for lunch and got to do some browsing there. I love this market and it goes back a long ways for me!! My Dad owned a meat stand in here for years when I was small.
My Grandpa Dienner owned a few stands in here over the years. I grew up working in this market! I served drinks to customers at eight years old!! It takes me back in time every time I go there! I still have a few uncles with stands so we always enjoy visiting them!
We always get a good deal on the yummy food because we are family!!:) The dozen of Keith's homemade donuts were a huge hit!! I ran three miles in the morning just to "not feel so guilty" about eating one! I took one to Mom, Dad and Allen and my Grandma Beiler last evening. They needed to get out of the house after we all had our one!
It was a good day and I got back just in time to do the mowing before a rain shower. Dave and I again went out last evening to make another dent in the mulch pile! Almost done! ~Happy Dance!~ Justin was to tired to help. He was asleep for a few hours after we got home yesterday. Going to the shop with Dave by 5 o'clock in the mornings and then again after school is leaving him more tired then usual! He makes it back in time for breakfast in the morning but only has about ten minutes to eat and change before leaving for school! I think he will be glad when school is over and he can work full time...:) He does enjoy feeling needed out there and Dave really enjoys having him there!
Jordan normally does all Justin's "around the house" chores once he works full time. I think we will pass off some chores to Jen as well this Summer... I snapped this the other day when a chicken escaped the coop. She chases it down and scoops them right up and carries them back to the coop! She does better then I would!! She should definitely be a farm girl!! She puts the chicken back in it's place and says... Aw those chickens are so CUTE!! I laughed to myself on that one!!
We plan to have my family for a picnic lunch here tomorrow. Ascension Day gives us a day off of work and school! I suggested a park for the occasion but that got shot down by Dave! He has been working overtime around here, helping me with mulching/planting, now that we are finished and things look all fresh he just wants to stay here and enjoy it! Why would we go away?? The kids will have fun here and it will probably be even better then a park...:) He is not here as much as me so getting out is more of a pleasure for me...:) But we are looking forward to hosting this crowd~!~
Praise the Lord for his Ascension into heaven ALIVE!! Preparing for our coming!! Seated at the right hand of God!! Thank you Jesus!!
I'm done with my break... Back to sorting clothes!!
