Beach Time...

We are back from Atlantic City. We had a great time and time spent together as family is always the best times of our lives! We treasured the moments and made great memories!

Of course I figured I would wait to get the best pictures until the last day which happened to be today and I had no idea they were calling for bad weather so I did not get the kids on the beach for pictures today as I had planned. I am glad for the fun pictures I got on the two sunny days we had though. This was the one and only picture taken on the beach this morning, just before the down pour!!...

The Little's and I walked out this morning with our sand toys to see if we could make the best out of it,  we had the sand whipping at us and the winds were strong! We soon headed back to the room and a good thing to because we got caught in a down pour when we were almost back from the half mile walk back from the beach! We were out looking for the guys who were supposedly swimming in the wild ocean waves!! I'm best off if I don't even watch!!

We were only on the beach on Saturday (our arrival day) for about a half hour when the life guards went out a whistling and waving people out of the way! Such a commotion they made! Like six or eight of them!! Of course I start to scan the water for my boys and guess what???  I can't see any of them!! I start to pace and soon see Justin but there comes the boat back in with Jordan on board!!!

The water was a bit rough and they didn't take the time to get the feel of it before plunging in, Jordan says he was fine and they did have a few other people on board that were out a little farther so I'm not sure the commotion was really necessary but still, it put this Mommas heartbeat to the test as Dave laughed at me!!...:/ Like I said "best not to watch!"

We were so happy to take Danny and Rachel Ann with us this year! We had gotten an extra room in the timeshare resort we stayed at and asked them last minute to go along! Dave and I got to go out on a sushi date while they had movie and pizza night with the kids!!... Dave had his Birthday at the beach this year again and we made that night our date night out...:) Thanks Danny and Rachel Ann!!

Dave and I got our sushi dinner in, slow and relaxing, then we walked and walked some more, then we got a Starbucks and sat on the boardwalk just watching the people go by.... Interesting it was! Things seem to be getting more and more ungodly and it was very evident on this beaches boardwalks, we thought this was most likely the last time we will be taking the kids on vacation to this beach.

It seems many souls are lost and hurting! Eyes are the window to the soul and when watching eyes it seemed many are hurting and lost!! God help us be the hands and feet of Jesus!

One comment I got from a service man was this... As we were coming in from the beach and wanting to spend some time in the resort pool yet I asked my Little's to follow me to the locker rooms to be washed off first, so they not drag sand into the pool. A service man who must have overheard me turned around to come and "Thank me" for that! He said I'm one of very few who even care about that! It seemed that somebody even taking responsibility for something like this was rare to him at this resort!? What is happening to our Country and how can we make a difference??? WE CAN!!

Jenika was a fish in the water and she went out as far as I would allow!! Farther when I wasn't the one looking after her at that moment because she would say to me..."But Momma when Danny was watching me he let me go out way farther then just this!"...:) I'm a cautious one but at times it's necessary with the few crazy ones in my family!! It really annoys me when they laugh at me for it though!...:)

Javon took some time but after warming up to the the waves he loved them!! Rachel Ann was in the water a lot with him just holding him until he got comfortable, then the one time he had his Daddy, Danny and Rachel Ann all out at once cheering for him and helping keep him safe. He relaxed and loved it after that!... This picture says it all...:) Three of his favorite people... How could he not feel safe??:)

Jenika got buried in the sand by Danny...

The Sea Gulls absolutely loved us on this trip but our neighbors were often annoyed!!...:/
Feeding them by hand off of the 28th floor of our balcony!!

We started two of our days with runs on the boardwalk early (three-four milers) We did a bike ride this morning instead of running, we got the kids up early and rented three two seater bikes! Jenika was whining that she was cold and her back hurt soon after we started! Javon had my Ipod in his pocket so we gave it to Jenika and she was quiet as a mouse behind Dave on her seat after that! We wonder why we waited so long to plug her ears with music...?:) Dave says she is like her Momma when she runs... Without music she whines but with music she just goes and goes...:) He is right!:/

We spent two lovely days on the beach, by evenings the Little's we so exhausted!! We took the kids to Rainforest Café and then to do some rides last evening, they had heavy bloodshot eyes and they were so ready to have there heads hit pillows by the time we got back!! They were complaining of tired legs and for good reason! Mine were so tired to! Something about all the boardwalk walking in flip flops that makes the legs feel like rubber!

Why is it that this "ride thing" or "amusement park" thing just hits me at a place like this everytime?? I don't mind taking the kids on rides (and I do put on a happy face!) but it often seems they always start to whine about something... like "I'm thirsty" or I want that ride NOW! "My legs hurt, carry me" And before I know it I'm uptight and they are not even enjoying it,  we still often have a few tickets left to spend (and we even got the least amount!) and they are just plain sick of it!! The Little's are as tired of ALL the people and ALL the noise as we adults are by the time we get out of there, and we never hang around long at all!! Is it just me or what? I grew up as a kid doing this "ride thing" at the beach and it was a blast, it just seems I like nature better now and would much rather hear Gods creatures singing then the loud crazy sounds of these amusement parks! Oh well it is good for me to get out of my comfort zone at times and a few days like this sure does that to me over and over again...:) Over all we had a BLAST!!

My Little's at there "Happy Moments"...:)

The wilder and faster the better or this girl!! She was to short to do the wild rides but she still always measured to make sure and I'm sure she would still have LOVED them even if she was to short!
She keeps me busy on days like this but she is a BLAST!!...:)

Our Supper at Rainforest Café... I love these kids and we love spending vacation time with them!!...
My teenager Justin... I love him and he is growing up so fast right before my eyes! He was so independent on this trip!

Jordan loved his rip stick and enjoyed the waves for hours!!

Jenika loved it when I helped her make a really big sand castle and she was a fish in the water!!

Javon has sure opened up a lot and we love seeing his unique personality take shape!

Here is the crazy side of our "Blond Haired" Blue Eyed" Baby...

Javon is the one that gets his picture taken the most...:) I think it's because you would often find him right by my side. He is so quiet and lay ed back. His age and stage is so much fun right now and he got so much attention on this trip! Especially because he had Danny's to! He got to ride in there car for the trip there! He thinks it's great that he has his own car seat in Rachel Ann's car and she lets him listen to his favorite songs over and over...:)

The bags are unpacked, the house stayed clean for our few days away. It feels great to be back in the country again and we are feeling Blessed to have more great vacation memories made!

Now we get back to reality again and it means more August is ahead!!:) School shopping is a priority now and I'd like to do peaches and salsa for my canning shelves this week yet...:)

I'm off for rest... Thanks for sharing in on our fun get away...
