Ambergris Caye!!

We made it to our final destination! After our time here it's homeward bound already! We came over from Caye Caulker this morning before lunch. I spent the next few hours unpacking, organizing and doing the laundry! By hand!! The laundry places are all closed for the "New Year" and I really needed wash done! The housekeeping is drying it for me now!:)

The island here is so busy to! It seems a bit more spread out and we can get away from the chaos if we want to but it seems like a very busy place, with people and golf carts everywhere! The island has no cars. Only the taxi's and then bikes and golf carts.

Everybody is trying to make money somehow so they all have something to sell! We bought some coconut fudge from a small boy that was peddling it. He said his mom makes it and it was so yummy!! I'd love to get my hands on the recipe to bring home!

The big boys are already out exploring and they came back with bikes. This will there way around for the week!...:) They will love this place I can tell! It feels good to let them roam a bit more. There is no way to really get lost since they only have a "Front Street" "Middle Street" and "Back Street"!:)
The people are friendly and the crime is non existent here so everybody says it's very safe!

We have a cute place here at "Exotic Caye" We have two bedrooms, a loft which Justin has claimed. A spread out couch and two bathrooms. It's nothing fancy but it will be great for us. We don't plan to spend to much time in our house anyway.
The service is great and the people are very helpful so far!

We plan to get some groceries and settle in a bit,  this will feel unusual after so much moving. Dave already got a gallon of watermelon juice for the fridge! We are right across the street from Maria's fruit stand and she juices the fruits to! Cheap to!
View from our porch...

The weather is great although they say the rain showers pop up any time here, just out of nowhere.

Dave and I plan to go out this evening for a special supper. We had an Anniversary yesterday! Number sixteen! It seemed easier for us to wait until this evening to do something special. We have all inclusive breakfast and dinner here on the resort grounds so the kids will eat here. The tables are set up right below us on the sand so we have food right outside our front door! And I don't even need to be the one preparing it!! What a great week this will be!!...:)

Thanks for tuning in... Have a great New Years!!!

PS. I'm really enjoying having my husband and his full attention!! The kids are enjoying it to!! I think I will always need to take him out of the Country on vacation!! He hasn't talked on the phone once since we left Philly!! It's got to be the first ever that he went this long without a phone conversation! I think he is enjoying the break to!...:)  He has his WIFI time to catch up emails but I don't miss hearing all those one sided conversations at all!!!
