Week-end Update...

The sunset indicates it might be a sunny day tomorrow once again. We have had a few gray days but the temps are at least warmer and the kids are again enjoying the outdoors without the snow on the ground.

The big boys are back to basketball and spend hours shooting hoops together!

The Little's were stressing the fish so bad playing around the pond I finally told them they must stay away from the fish pond for now. They were on the swings and the trampoline this evening as the sun was setting.

Our weekend has been a busy/fun one. The Little's had a sleepover on Friday night while Dave, Justin, Jordan and I went to Day Springs banquet. We enjoy this "Remember America" speaker series every year. The speakers are always so interesting and I just love that school to! The speaker this year was Ben Carson. This guy knows so much that it seems a shame that he is getting old and retiring! He wishes for another life so he could continue to help people.

The meal is always great at this banquet to, we again had to take Jordan a packed lunch. (we still have not gotten to used to this) My kitchen was clean and I was in a hurry to get everyone ready and though we had a supper out planned I still wanted to make Jordan something special, it required making a mess in the kitchen AGAIN cooking him a meal and with only a short amount of time to do it! We are still Blessed!..:) He lost two more pounds last week!

Dave comes rushing in the door from work as I was cleaning up the kitchen and I still wanted to take the Little's to there sleepovers before we had to leave, he says to me... (after glancing at the clock) "you know we need to leave here in like ten minutes right??" Like "make sure you are ready by then"! I was well aware of what time we needed to leave to be in there on time and I was in no mood to be reminded that I only had ten minutes to do like 100 more things! I felt like throwing something at him but I controlled myself there and just mumbled under my breath about him having no idea what my day was like and I'm doing the best that I can!... Oh well we ended up laughing about it then...:) The night out was so worth the last minute stress...:)

Javon loved sleeping in "His" room at Danny and Rachel Ann again and Jenika enjoyed the night with her prayer partner Lena!...:) Thanks to the sitters we did not need to pick up the Little's so late at night! Dave and I did a five mile run Saturday morning then he went to pick them up...:)

Jordan got to spend some time fishing at Derek and Trevor's yesterday. He so enjoys fishing and he has been seen many times just bent over his tackle box looking at his fishing things! He told me today "Every time I get bored I just go look at my fishing stuff again"!!:) He is hooked for sure!...:) Trevor was home and able to do some fishing with him. He needs to rest a lot but Jordan said he seemed really good for having been through two hard chemo treatments! We are praying for you Trevor!!

We had a wedding yesterday afternoon which was great to. Congratulation to Sammy and Rhoda! They make an adorable couple and the day was beautiful all around! Justin was home with the Little's while Jordan spent time fishing. Thanks Wilma for allowing him to come over, he totally enjoys every minute of the time he spends at your house and he gets the biggest kick out of you and how you love to tease him!...:)

Last evening I watched a DVD I had ordered online. Have you ever heard of "Back to Eden Gardening"?? I am so excited to say that I'm going to give this type of gardening a try!! They say God does not intend for the soil to be exposed, EVER! No plowing, hoeing, watering or weeds!! If we are working hard to maintain a garden then we are probably doing it wrong! Very interesting!! If you want to borrow my DVD you gladly may, maybe you would like it to It makes perfect sense so we are making plans to do our garden this way this year.

Today we spent the morning visiting another church. We were invited to Martindale Road to hear from "Brother Yun" He wrote the book "The Heavenly Man" The message had to be spoken through an interpreter, the kids were amazed...:)

It was a different worship service then we are used to for a Sunday morning and we did miss our home church but it does us good to get out and visit to. The "Heavenly Man" in Brother Yun is so amazing! His testimony about the years spent in prison for preaching the name of Jesus are amazing!

It told how God used him in powerful ways even in prison! He was told if he speaks the name of Jesus even just once he will be thrown into the black hole cell. He was still always so joyful and as the other prisoners shared there stories and brother Yun just listened. He never spoke much but the other prisoners were starting to get curious about him! Like... what is with this guy?? Why are we drawn to him and what is with his joyful spirit?? They started to ask him questions. They asked him about his father and what he does??? In China this is a big thing. You are often passed off the same thing as what your father does. So they asked him about his family.?

He told them "my father is the best Doctor out there!" (speaking of his heavenly father) There was no medicine in this prison and many were sick!! All of the sudden many were begging him for help!!

He asked the Lord "How will I help them if I cannot use the powerful name of Jesus??!! He heard the words "Hallelujah" and "Amen" spoken into his heart!! He started to massage the sick prisoners and as he was massaging them he told them that when he hits the tender spots and starts to hurt them they are to say  "Ha-Ha-Ha-Le-Lu-Ya" and A-A-A-Men!!

He healed so many prisoners in Jesus name using these two words!! They probably had no idea what they meant but the power was in those words!...:) It was great to hear how God used Brother Yun in the prison to the point of the guards and the police men came to see what was going on. Like what for Doctor is this??  They started to ask him to come to there homes to heal there family members!! They helped him get an education on massage therapy so he could help the prisoners with the proper paperwork! The power was from Jesus and we have access to that same exact power in us!! How exciting!!

Lunch was served at the church today and we knew it was for lunch so this morning we again made a mad scramble to get a lunch packed for Jordan! We forgot we had made plans to go visit until we got a reminder alert from Dave's phone this morning or I would have prepared something for Jordan last night. It was a more hectic Sunday morning then I would have liked by the time we got out the door but again it was worth it...:) I told Dave on the way to church this morning "I will be recording these days in my journal because one day I might forget how these days were! It will one day maybe just be him and I heading out the door together for church, all organized and relaxed drinking tea!...:)

Don't get the wrong idea. I treasure our Sunday mornings and most times we are out the door on time and we even almost always get a run in. It's just that sometimes it does get crazy and when it does I like to record it...:)

Tomorrow is the last scheduled Ladies Bible Study. I will miss doing these lessons. It is always a stretch for my spiritual growth while doing one of these Bible Studies. Rachel Ann plans to get Javon off of school since tomorrows study will include a brunch. He is with Rachel Ann so much lately and he loves Baby Ava to!...:)

I'm off to get these kiddo's to bed... Be a BLESSING to somebody this week...
